We are seeking a Digital Wing Integrator to join our team. In this pivotal role, it's not just about applying engineering principles, but about digitally transforming them. You will be at the forefront of our wing engineering efforts, responsible for creating and implementing the automated workflows that drive everything from stress analysis to design. You will be a key contributor to the optimization of cutting-edge wing structures tools/processes. We're looking for a candidate with a unique combination of expertise in Structure analysis, and a passion for innovation through automation and research. Your work will directly impact the performance, safety, and efficiency of our future aircraft.

Your working environment:

The Digital Wing Engineering team (1AWID) is part of a transnational team: Wing Architecture (1AWI) in charge of Airframe Architecture Governance and responsible for all related processes within the wing perimeter.

Your challenges:

  • Automated Stress Analysis:
    • Develop and deploy automated workflows for structural analysis (Design, Finite Element Method (FEM) and classical stress analysis).
    • Your work will streamline the verification of structural integrity and enable rapid design iterations through scripted analysis routines.
  • Digital Design & Optimization:
    • Use your programming skills to drive wing design and development. You'll create tools and scripts that automate geometry creation, integrate performance data, and perform multi-objective optimization to produce lighter, more efficient designs.
  • Automation & Analytics:
    • Build and support the digital wing roadmap taking into account Configuration and DMU automation input.
  • Research & Technology (RnT):
    • Support RnT projects focused on exploring new materials, manufacturing techniques, and innovative structural concepts for wings.
    • You will stay abreast of industry advancements and integrate new technologies into our processes. Pioneer RnT initiatives by automating complex simulations and data collection.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
    • In accordance with Airframe digital solutions (1AM subdomain) guidelines and best practices , evaluate and provide feedback to improve existing process methods and tools used in wing engineering.
    • You will collaborate with stakeholders to ensure our engineering practices are efficient, traceable, and aligned with program objectives.
    • Partner with teams across the Airframe Wing Integration (1AWI) department, including GFEM team (1AWIA) and RnT (1AWIR), to ensure seamless integration of wing designs and a holistic approach to problem-solving.
    • Stay abreast of industry trends, regulations, and advancements in aviation technology (CAD tools, Digital Twins, System Engineering...).

Your boarding pass:

  • A bachelor's or master's degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, or a related engineering field.
  • A proven background in stress analysis, experience applying FEM to aerospace structures is a plus.
  • Demonstrable experience in aerospace and DE.PA processes.
  • Experience in automation and data analytics, with proficiency in PYTHON scripting, other scripting skills knowledge is a plus.
  • A background in or a keen interest in Research and Technology (RnT) projects.
  • Familiarity with modern engineering process methods and tools (e.g., PLM software, requirements management systems).
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse technical teams.
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage competing priorities.
