In order to support the Maintenance & Retrofit Engineering team within Customer Services, Airbus Commercial is looking for a
Digital Business Operations Manager - Customer Services (d/f/m)
You will join a 14-member transnational Business Improvement team dedicated to increasing operational efficiency. A worldwide organization with operations spanning the Americas, Africa and the Middle East, and Asia.
Our mission is to leverage digital solutions, innovation, and diverse expertise to deliver essential engineering services that ensure safe and efficient aircraft operations across the entire lifecycle. In this role, you will directly support the business by monitoring, improving, and maintaining critical processes and digital applications.
Your location
You will be working at the largest production site for civil aircraft situated in Hamburg. Its location on the southern banks of the river Elbe includes the option to commute by ferry. Experience the special flair of Hamburg in your spare time where vibrant cosmopolitan culture meets nautic legacy.

Your tasks and responsibilities
- Leading the end-to-end (E2E) definition and deployment of digital tools and processes to enhance department activities.
- Driving continuous improvements of the applications portfolio to simplify processes and harmonize the IT landscape.
- Managing projects and work packages to integrate new functionalities to Airbus Customers and reduce the impact of IT-tool obsolescence.
- Acting as an IT partner for the operation, change of existing solutions and the entry into service of new digital tools.
- Securing tool robustness and performance while ensuring daily operations meet business needs and digital standards.
- Collaborating with the PM&T governance and other functional areas to advocate for business needs within the IT backbone.
- Ensuring compliance by integrating Export Control, Security and Cyber Security requirements into all digital methods and tools.
- Empowering business lines by providing functional support and innovative methods for managing centralized, uniform digital data.
Desired skills and qualifications
- Educated to degree level (or equivalent) in Information Technology, Engineering, Business Management, or a related discipline.
- Solid experience in project management and leading complex work packages in an agile environment.
- High level of IT proficiency regarding business requirements management and digital tool development.
- Knowledge of Export Control regulations and their application within digital workflows.
- Strong communication skills and assertiveness, with the ability to challenge and influence stakeholders effectively.
- Analytical thinking and a problem-solving mindset, remaining open to new ideas and innovative solutions.
- Language skills: English at a negotiation level is mandatory.
