GBS Costing Team is looking for a Detailed Parts Cost Engineer with the following scope and responsibilities.

Responsibilities - your mission

  • The person will analyze and estimate metallic detail parts produced by different manufacturing processes like: Forging, Castings, Sheet metal forming and Machining.
  • Being responsible for the cost estimation for Elementary Metallic detail parts, Standard parts, metallic materials based on Program needs, new developments, new aircraft derivatives and future programs.
  • The main customers will belong to the Materials and Metallic parts procurement organization, PMD, PMM, PMB, and PMR.
  • Contribute to the development, implementation and documentation of costing models and references for metallics and standard parts qualification for Recurring costs, Hourly rates and Non recurring costs (tooling, machines). These models and references are used across the Airbus organization in both the early design phases as well as in supplier negotiations for fully defined work packages.
  • Improve the models based on feedback from manufacturing suppliers, make plants, users, industrial needs and always represent the manufacturing benchmark solutions.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of Costing knowledge of current and future technologies.
  • Being part of a transnational team located in Hamburg, Toulouse, Getafe, Lisbon, Broughton and Filton.
  • Report to the head of MFVTM Detailed Parts.


Requirements:

  • Expertise in Metallic manufacturing processes like Machining, Sheet metal, Forgings Castings would be required.
  • Knowledge of Standard parts qualification and manufacturing would be a plus..
  • Metallic 3d Printing would be a plus.
  • Degree in engineering.
  • A good level of English is mandatory.
  • Good communication skills.
