Airbus Commercial Aircraft is looking for a Design Drafter for Operations and Projects Support (m/f) to join our Single Aisle Jigs & Tools Engineering Office (320-321) based in Toulouse, France.

You will be part of a team that designs and develops tooling and assembly stations for the A320 and A321 FALs. Within the Single Aisle Jigs & Tools engineering team, as a Design Drafter, you will play a central role in the technical support of our operations. You will ensure the consistency and quality of our tooling design data while actively contributing to innovation and the definition of technical solutions.

Your challenges :

  • Ensure successful industrialization of Jigs and Tools assets (creation, development and modification) based on identified needs until final acceptance and handover to the corresponding Operations Manager.
  • Design and/or specify the requested Jigs and Tools assets according to requirements from Manuf. Engineering Process Engineer, Operations, Maintenance Engineer and Plant/ FAL Quality Assurance Representative for Jigs and Tools, as well as Human Factors, e.g. Health and Safety and Ergonomics, Environmental, Security, including Cyber Security, and legal aspects, such as Export Control or Marking.
  • Ensure integration of these requirements in J&T technical specification.
  • Ensure the provided solution is fully integrated within the industrial system through a robust acceptance process set on defined Key Performance Indicators.
  • Contribute to the purchasing phases of the Jigs and Tools asset, including technical specification for call for tender.
  • Support Finance activities to elaborate the CapEx and/or OpEx dossier.
  • Support Plants/ FALs in all the activities where a Jig and/or Tool asset is involved.
  • Support root cause analysis of Non Conformities and improvement projects.
  • Integrate mature industrial technologies in link with R&D. Collaborate with R&D to integrate requirements and consolidate Airbus Industrial Vision.


Your boarding pass :

  • At least 10 years of experience.
  • CATIA V5 R27 (including utilities such as CATDUA, JTCheck). Knowledge of CATIA V6 would be a plus.
  • SAP.
  • Experience with 3D scanning tools and 3D printing is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of Eurocodes.
  • English: required (written and spoken) - B1 level.
