Job Description:

An opportunity for a Design & Development Lab Test Means Engineer has arisen within Airbus Defence and Space, Getafe (Madrid).

The selected candidate will join the Laboratory Test Means Team for all Airbus Defence and Space programs. The jobholder will reinforce our department, taking responsibility for the design, manufacturing, modification, and maintenance activities of functional and software test benches, while managing suppliers and supporting aircraft equipment logistics across ongoing projects.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The main tasks of the jobholder will be:

• Manage the design, manufacturing development, retrofit, and maintenance of functional, software, and electronic test benches across Airbus programs.
  
• Analyze program requirements to specify, design, build, and deliver Lab Test Means and test solution systems adhering to Quality, Time, Cost, and Performance targets.
  
• Define test means specifications, drive supplier selection for subcontracted activities, and perform project management during the realization phase.
  
• Control configuration management for aircraft equipment populated on test means, ensuring export control compliance and handling logistics movements.
  
• Execute budget provision, planning, tendering, Product Regulatory Compliance engineering activities, verification procedures, components verification, and commissioning.
