Team Description

The Maintenance Team at Airbus India primarily works on topics like maintenance systems of tomorrow for the aircraft, designing the BITE specifications for the systems, providing the customization mods needed for the aircraft, and solutions to improve the maturity of systems. Key competencies include System Engineering topics like Requirements engineering, configuration management, V&V, etc. along with exposure to wireless protocols, aerospace standards & basics of MBSE. Team works with legacy aircrafts (Commercial) and is also engaged on Airbus Skywise (the singular access point to data analytics) utilizing Big Data, Java & Python skills to create dashboards & applications to analyze Maintenance data. We are a team strongly invested in R & T initiatives that are dedicated to supporting future aircraft health needs. This team is part of Advanced Engineering & System Studies, a department that works on providing simulations means for most aircraft systems and industrial needs through the application of systems engineering, MBSE, certification abilities etc

Job Responsibilities

We are looking for someone who is self-motivated and driven to work being responsible for:

  • Developing the Certification strategy including applicable airworthiness requirements and associated means to demonstrate compliance.
  • Advise system designers of applicable regulations and their impacts on design.
  • Verify that applicable airworthiness requirements are included in the design definition.
  • Ensure that Certification Documents bring appropriate evidence of compliance with applicable requirements
  • Convince Airworthiness Authorities (EASA, FAA and other foreign agencies) about compliance of the design.

In this position, you will develop yourself in airworthiness and certification, system development, system safety, and design assurance. You will acquire broad knowledge of Airbus Avionics and Cockpit Systems.

Experience: 5-7 years.

Required Skills

  • Graduate/Post Graduate Engineer (Aerospace Engineering / Avionics and/or ElectricsEngineering/Civil Engineering)
  • Avionic or Electrical System Engineer, widely experienced on Aircraft Avionics or Flight Management systems engineering knowledge, with an integrated view of the aircraft with the following requirements :
    • The engineer has a proven experience on large aircraft avionics or Flight Management systems, and preferably on Airbus products.
    • Technically competent with the Design principles used to the compliance data.
    • Exposure to Avionic systems(especially Flight Management) design documents is an added advantage.
    • Knowledge on airworthiness Part21 subpart D and on EASA CS25/JAR25/FAR25 avionics and electrical systems requirements is an added advantage.
  • These experiences will reinforce the background of the candidate, his/her capacity in understanding, integrated design and airworthiness of an aircraft.
  • The position has an Airworthiness function, the following requirements are a plus:
    • Engineer should be knowledgeable of the Airworthiness domain, process product and technical requirements and integrated aircraft design, in addition should be able to question and to understand application of technical airworthiness requirements.
    • Should have a sound knowledge of Product Design.
    • Conversant with the roles and responsibilities of a Type Certificate holder operating under a Design Organization Approval granted by EASA.
  • You have a customer mindset.
  • You are dynamic, positive, curious, passionate and creative.
  • You like to learn and to collaborate with a high diversity of people.

• Nice to Have

  • Proficiency in quickly grasping the technical details of different aircraft systems and associating the technology to solve relevant problem statements.
  • A good communicator as the candidate will be the point of contact for the project for Airbus India.
  • Excellent analytical skills and proven ability to solve problems creatively.
  • Additional languages (French, German, Regional) could be an added advantage.
