Business Architect - ERP Transformation (d/f/m)

As a Business Architect within the Digital Industrial Value Stream (DIVS) team, you will join a major transformation initiative designed to reshape our entire industrial backbone through an SAP-based ERP solution. Acting as an analytical force at the heart of this transformation, you will support the Senior Business Architect by bridging the gap between local plant-level business processes and the new ERP functional architecture.

This role is also available with reduced weekly hours and an adapted scope of tasks.

Your location

You will be working at the largest production site for civil aircraft situated in Hamburg. Its location on the southern banks of the river Elbe includes the option to commute by ferry. Experience the special flair of Hamburg in your spare time where vibrant cosmopolitan culture meets nautic legacy.

Your benefits

  • Attractive salary and special payments
  • 30 days paid vacation and extra days-off for special occasions
  • Excellent upskilling opportunities and great international, group wide development prospects
  • Special benefits: employer-funded pension, employee stock options, discounted car leasing, special conditions for insurances, transportation subsidy, employee benefits at cooperating companies
  • On-site-facilities: Kindergarten close to the site, medical officer for check-ups and other health-related services, canteen and cafeteria
  • Compatibility of family & work (job sharing, part-time models, flexible working hours, individual timeout)
  • Working in a diverse environment, with more than 140 nationalities, where every voice is heard

Your tasks and responsibilities

  • Analyze and document "As-Is" cross-functional business processes (e.g., Manufacturing Execution, Maintenance, Logistics) and map interfaces with HR, Finance, and PLM.
  • Translate local plant business requirements into "To-Be" functional solutions while ensuring adherence to SAP standards.
  • Partner closely with the Senior Business Architect to champion the Hamburg site's operational needs across stakeholder levels.
  • Assist in evaluating and proposing the optimal transformation sequencing based on business maturity, re-use, and SAP alignment.
  • Contribute to designing and building the local application obsolescence roadmap for the Hamburg site.
  • Apply transnational methods and tools autonomously to ensure local recommendations align across plant and program teams.

Desired skills and qualifications

  • University degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Business Information Systems, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
  • Solid operational experience (3-5+ years) in an industrial Operations environment (e.g., Manufacturing Engineering, Supply Chain, Shopfloor).
  • Strong functional understanding of ERP/SAP concepts and key Operations modules (e.g., PM, MM, PP, EWM), including hands-on configuration experience.
  • Proven ability to model, analyze, and document business processes (BPM) and translate business needs into functional requirements.
  • Strong structured project management skills and experience handling complex tasks, ideally using Agile methodologies.
  • Familiarity with interfacing enterprise systems (e.g., PLM, MES) and process improvement methodologies such as Six Sigma.
  • Negotiation-level language proficiency in both English and German.
