This position is placed under the authority of the Aerostructures Data Management at Airbus India Private Limited and is dedicated to Functional Testing, Features improvement and Documentation activities for the Airframe structural analysis sizing tool - ISAMI analyst . This critical role ensures operational excellence by serving as the essential link between our global engineering community and the powerful analysis tools they rely on.

Core Mission & Responsibilities

This position supports our engineering team, playing a pivotal role in ensuring the quality and usability of ISAMI+ , our critical Structural Analysis tool. The mission involves two key areas: establishing a modern, integrated " Docs-as-Code " framework for technical documentation, and performing essential functional testing. This work directly supports simplifying the airframe referential and ensuring all engineering stakeholders have reliable, up-to-date information, thereby creating a more efficient and standardized way of working.

The Technical Documentation & Validation Engineer drives two core areas of operational excellence:

1. Docs-as-Code Implementation & Maintenance

This role serves as the architect and primary author within the new documentation ecosystem, ensuring content is modern, scalable, and highly integrated with the software development lifecycle.

• Establish the Framework: Define and maintain the Docs-as-Code process, standardizing the core toolset on Markdown or reStructuredText for authoring, Git (GitHub/GitLab) for version control, and a Static Site Generator (e.g., mkDocs/Sphinx) for output.
  
• Create Integrated Documentation: Author comprehensive, user-facing knowledge articles covering the ISAMI+ graphical user interface, preparation/running of Structural Analyses (including post-processing), and transversal tool capabilities.
  
• Ensure Modularity: Design a documentation solution that is easily decoupled from any specific commercial solution, preventing content loss and ensuring long-term maintainability.
  
• Enable Rich Media: Integrate rich multimedia, interactivity, and responsive design features to ensure optimal viewing across all operating systems and fruition modes.
  

2. Tool Validation & Knowledge Management

Ensures the ISAMI+ tool performs to specification and that all knowledge resources are accurate and accessible.

• Functional Testing: Execute comprehensive tool testing for various use cases (common and edge-case scenarios) and validate results against standard product requirements as defined by the Product Owner.
  
• Bug Reporting: Clearly document test results, track execution progress, and report all identified bugs with high attention to detail.
  
• Knowledge Transfer: Create engaging video tutorials and training materials to help users upskill quickly and efficiently on ISAMI+ workflows.
  
• Legacy Support: Assist in reviewing and updating existing user guides and supporting the migration of ISAMI Analyst documentation into standard Google Docs templates.
  
• Knowledge Building: Create and publish high-quality technical articles to build a sustainable knowledge management repository.
  
• Procedure Awareness: Create awareness and provide support on new or updated procedures related to key Stress requirements for all stakeholders.
  

Required Profile & Capabilities

Required skills to excel in this role include a blend of strong technical understanding and documentation expertise.

1. Essential Qualifications & Experience

• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (B.E / M.E / M. Tech) in Mechanical or Aeronautical Engineering .
  
• Experience: Preferably 5 to 10 years of relevant domain experience.
  

2. Key Technical Expertise

• Stress Analysis Background: Working knowledge of ISAMI modules (must have) and a fundamental understanding of Stress Analysis workflows.
  
• Technical Proficiency: Demonstrated Python programming skills (beneficial for tooling/automation).
  
• Docs-as-Code Experience: Practical experience with markup languages (Markdown/reStructuredText) and version control tools (Git/GitLab/GitHub).
  
• Content & Communication: Exceptional content writing and presentation skills -the ability to create documentation that is concise, clear, and genuinely useful to an engineering audience.
  
• Quality Assurance: Proven track record in test case documentation and detailed bug reporting.
  
• Content Writing & Technical Documentation: Creates precise, accessible, and high-value technical documentation (user manuals, system specifications, design documents), translating complex concepts clearly.
  
• Test Case Documentation & Bug Reporting: Develops detailed test cases for system validation, meticulously documents results, and generates comprehensive bug reports for efficient issue resolution and quality assurance.
  
• Attention to Detail, Problem-Solving, & Logical Reasoning: Committed to accuracy, applying strong analytical and critical thinking to identify, analyze, and resolve complex technical challenges systematically.
  

3. Leadership & Behavioral Skills

• Coordination: Ability to coordinate the efforts of a large team of diverse specialists and subject matter experts.
  
• Supplier Management: Ability to manage suppliers and their KPIs to meet Time, Cost, and Quality (TCQ).
  
• Communication: The job requires the ability to communicate effectively in a multi-cultural environment and maintain good verbal & written English skills (a must).
  
• Mobility: The job requires travel to Europe, as and when needed by the business.
  
• Culture: Strong capacity to understand and align with Airbus culture, procedures, and customer needs .
