This apprenticeship is integrated into the certified training programme proposed by the Airbus Cybersecurity School in partnership with Toulouse Ynov Campus.

An apprenticeship offer entitled "Apprentice in A journey in the SOC services (M/F)" has just opened within Airbus Protect on its Toulouse - Blagnac site.

As a work-study student, you will join the Managed Security Services in charge of cyber defence operations for the benefit of our clients.

This apprenticeship will consist of discovering the different operational missions of a SOC, from threat anticipation to incident response.

This apprenticeship will start in September 2026 and will last for a period of 3 years.

This position requires security clearance or eligibility for clearance by recognised authorities.

Tasks & Responsibilities:

Under the guidance of your Airbus tutor, you will contribute to:

Operation on a dedicated SOC (nnSOC) [1st year]:

  • Investigate on dedicated incidents pipe
  • Contextualize and cross check from various sources
  • Decrease false positive level / improve operations efficiency
  • Propose new solutions, processes... to optimise investigation

Operation on an mutualised SOC [2nd year]:

  • Investigate on dedicated incidents or on L1 escalations
  • Contextualize and cross check from various sources
  • Report on a regular basis
  • Maintain knowledge detection database
  • Decrease false positive level / improve operations efficiency
  • Propose new solutions, processes... to optimise investigation.

Attack implementation and analysis [3rd year]:

  • Define a selection of known attacks
  • Implement them on a lab
  • Analyse attack, define adequate detection capabilities and associated defence measures
  • Implement and evaluate defence and detection capacities

Key deliverables:

Incidents/cases reports:

  • Small internal deliverables - Case investigation report
  • External deliverable could be a synthesis on summary on apprentice experience on the topic

Summary of optimising investigation process:

  • Initiate an engineer thinking process

Attack analysis:

  • Attack/adversary analysis
  • How to implement and evaluate the defence and detection capacities
  • Engineer solving process implemented

Skills & Prerequisites:

You are currently enrolled in, or have already completed, at least a two-year higher education degree (Bac+2) in the IT field.

Competencies which will be developed:

  • Analysis
  • Synthesis
  • Computer Network Defence knowledge
  • Network and system knowledge
  • Written and oral presentation

Language skills:

  • English: Advanced (as the classes are taught partly in English, candidates must have an advanced level of English)
  • French: Fluent
