We are looking for a Data Analyst to join our team in Airbus GBS in Portugal.

Responsibilities - Your mission

The position is in the Airline Operations Intelligence team whose main mission is to gather airline operational data from multiple sources, transform and augment it. It is then delivered to the Airbus internal departments such as aircraft program, engineering, marketing and strategy either as data products, or as reports or as dashboards. The quantity of data is in the big data perimeter with billions of data lines being analyzed.

  • In that role, you will contribute to creating an airline operations data catalog, using the data in analysis to answer business questions and creating dashboards to make the data easily accessible. You will need to define the associated functional needs and rely on a team of developers organized in Agile to deliver on your mission.
  • You will be responsible for specific data streams (sourcing, acquisition, transformation, augmentation), specific dashboards and client’s accounts. You will have to make most decisions regarding these three responsibility areas from determining the needs, their priorities, iterating with the clients, validating the results and driving the continuous improvements.

Requirements . our ideal candidate will have

  • A master degree in engineering or computer science.
  • Previous working experience in analytical/engineer/operational roles would be appreciated.
  • Qualifications/experience/knowledge of the airline industry is a major advantage.
  • Qualifications/experience/knowledge of data science is a major advantage.
  • English must be fluent.
  • Key competencies are analytical mindset, rigor, problem solving, communication and stakeholder management.
  • Reliability, results-orientation, autonomy, proactivity, are some of the traits our ideal candidate must present
  • Ability and/or motivation to understand the complex Airbus ecosystem and navigate in it to drive the project. You will also be able to manage and engage their clients and contributing stakeholders.
