Airbus Commercial Aircraft is looking for an Aircraft Performance Engineer (f/m) to join our In-Flight Performance and Operations department based in Toulouse, France or Getafe, Spain.

Aircraft Performance is at the heart of our Aeronautic industry and is a key criterion for airlines when deciding to buy an aircraft. Performance is involved from the design phase to the end of aircraft life. Within the Performance In Operation group, you will be part of a team of aeronautical engineers, developers, and innovators. Our role is to improve aircraft and associated services efficiency while maintaining a constant focus on safety. Your challenges:

As part of the Performance In Operation team, you will be involved in the following tasks aiming at improving flight efficiency:

  • Modeling and evaluating the aircraft operational performance.
  • Analyzing and simulating the aircraft mission and its environment.
  • Acting as a reference for data-driven operational performance analysis.
  • Designing and developing services mixing flight physics and optimization.
  • Proposing technical and operational solutions that meet user-centric customer needs.


Your boarding pass:

  • Degree in aeronautical or mechanical engineering (or equivalent)
  • Good knowledge of Aircraft flight physics .
  • Advanced level in English is required .
  • Competences in IT ( scripting, Python ( NumPy, SciPy, Pandas) Linux, and Git) and surrogate modeling.
  • Knowledge of Flight and Cockpit Operations and/or Aircraft Systems.
