Are you ready to stand at the intersection of Aircraft Control Design and high-fidelity Simulation?

Join the Aircraft Control Modelling & Simulation and V&V team within the Airbus Design Office.

We are a transversal team whose mission is to develop, support, and validate the model & simulation applications used to design Flight Control Systems across all Airbus programs and also to perform V&V activities.

Job description:

As Modelling & simulation engineer, you will contribute to the development of high-fidelity simulation environments that allow our engineers to develop, test, and certify Flight Control Systems.

Supported by the team, your main mission will be to:

  • On your perimeter, capture model & simulation needs evolutions from Flight Control Designers (Handling Qualities, Control Laws, and System) but also from Test teams and other Model teams
  • Develop/update/validate A/C control models as per process
  • Manage models integration & validation on the simulation platforms as per process
  • Provide support to users and training necessary for their empowerment
  • Ensure and enhance representativity of Model & Simulation Platforms versus test needs
  • Participate actively to improvements/innovations:
    • Identify and deploy solutions to improve the quality of our models & simulation and their developments (tool & automatization development, workflow& process improvement, cross program harmonization...)

Your boarding pass:

  • Aeronautical Expertise: Global knowledge of aircraft systems and flight physics
  • System Engineering : knowledge on embedded systems, Aircraft Control, System Design and Development
  • Proven experience on Modelling & simulation
  • Customer minded, Pedagogy, Adaptability, Autonomy
  • Negotiation level of English

Knowledge which could facilitate job mission:

  • Methods : Experience with Change process tools (JIRA...), knowledge of Continuous integration tools (JENKINS, GIT...)
  • Familiarity with Airbus Test means (VSIM-D, SIMPA/OSMA, A/C 0 ...)
  • Scripting capabilities (Python...)
  • MATLAB SIMULINK
  • French would be a significant advantage for the role
