In order to support the Airbus Resources Planning (ARP) program, Airbus is looking for an

AI-Driven Test Manager (d/f/m)

Airbus is undergoing its most significant industrial evolution yet by replacing legacy systems with a unified digital ecosystem and rolling out ERP S/4HANA core projects. In this pivotal role, you will combine deep end-to-end testing expertise with AI technologies to steer quality assurance and ensure flawless system launches.

This role is also available with reduced weekly hours and an adapted scope of tasks.

Your location

You will be working at the largest production site for civil aircraft situated in Hamburg. Its location on the southern banks of the river Elbe includes the option to commute by ferry. Your tasks and responsibilities

• Strategic Test Leadership & AI Innovation: Architect and execute global testing strategies while integrating AI-driven tools and analytics to automate test case generation and optimize coverage across supply chain and manufacturing modules.
  
• End-to-End Test Orchestration: Plan and manage the complete testing lifecycle (Data/Dry Run, Functional, and UAT) across integrated SAP environments and global sites.
  
• Team Leadership & Tool Governance: Assemble and guide international testing teams, bridging technical AI testing tools (e.g., Tricentis Tosca, SAP Solution Manager) with business end-users.
  
• Pragmatic Risk & Defect Management: Lead daily data-driven defect triage, prioritize resolutions, and act as a quality advocate regarding Go-Live readiness decisions.
  
• Agile Project Management: Synchronize test execution within hybrid project environments, managing verification cycles across classical milestones and SAFe/Agile sprint planning.
  
• Stakeholder Synergy & Business Integration: Serve as the interface between business units, project management, and external partners, ensuring AI-generated test cases align with real-world aerospace manufacturing workflows.
  

Desired skills and qualifications

• Degree in Informatics, Manufacturing Engineering, Production/Logistics, or a related technical field.
  
• Extensive, proven track record in complex SAP development, deployment, or large-scale Quality Assurance, ideally within Aerospace, Automotive, or Defense industries.
  
• Deep knowledge or practical experience applying Artificial Intelligence (AI) and data analytics to optimize processes and automate software testing.
  
• Solid understanding of core SAP modules (MM, PP, SD, EWM), end-to-end operational workflows, and familiarity with S/4HANA transitions.
  
• Mastery of classical project management alongside hands-on experience in SAFe/Agile frameworks.
  
• Resilient leadership with strong negotiation and communication skills, fluent in English (German and/or French skills are an advantage).
  
• Willingness to travel (approx. 1-2 trips a month).
