What you will be doing


 You will be responsible for managing the business operations of the Customer Services organization in Latin America. As such, you will be the main focal point and accountable for all internal operational activities to ensure the business needs in the multiple domains of Customer Services.

You will be on a development journey to guide your growth into the role of Graduate Business Operations Manager and can expect to be involved in the following:
  • Drive the execution of business needs through the following domains:

    Stakeholder Coordination & Influence:

    Liaising with relevant stakeholders on the daily operations of the Customer Services Organization in the Latin America region and/or ensuring deliverables deadlines.
  • Support the manager in daily business including, confidential, and strategic topics.
  • Study, filter, and prioritize working files, providing recommendations and following up on local implementation of decisions
  • Enhance performance KPIs through the optimization and digitalization in the different domains (training, materials, customer support, FHS, fleet performance etc).
  • Harmonize ways of working in between the different training centers in the region.
  • Intervenes on the MIA Satair Warehouse operations and provide new alternatives of optimization of space
  • Contribute to the Fleet performance in the Latin American region

Your development journey will include a minimum of one rotational placement to support your growth into position.

At the end of the two year development programme, you will have developed into the position of Business Operations Management!

What we are looking for
To be a successful applicant, you will need to demonstrate you have:

  • A degree level or equivalent within Business, Aeronautical or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Recently graduated or first professional experience in the field of an airline, or product support, or training, or customer engineering field, or technical field of sales and marketing
  • Strong verbal and written communication in our business language (English)
  • Verbal and written communication in Spanish is required
  • Verbal and written communication in Portuguese is desirable
  • A desire to work in a collaborative team environment, focused on driving future innovation
  • The ability to be self aware and a wish to be in the driving seat of your development.
  • Ability to work in the US without current or future need of visa sponsorship.

Physical Requirements

  • Onsite or remote: 80% Onsite
  • Vision: able to see and read computer screen and other electronic equipment with screens, able to read documents, reports and engineering drawings.
  • Hearing: able to hear and participate in conversations in person and via teleconference or phone and to hear sounds on production floor including safety warnings or alarms.
  • Speaking: able to speak in conversations and meetings, deliver information and participate in communications.
  • Equipment Operation (personal computer, telephone, copies, fax machine, and related office equipment and using electronic identification card to enter building floors and internal doors): able to operate most office and personal electronic equipment and some tools including production tools such as hydraulic lifts.
  • Carrying: able to carry documents, tools, drawings, electronic equipment up to 30lbs/14kgs.
  • Lifting: able to lift documents, tools, drawings, electronic equipment up to 30lbs/14kgs.
  • Pushing / Pulling: able to push and pull small office furniture and some equipment and tools.
  • Sitting: able to sit for long periods of time in meetings, working on computer.
  • Squatting / Kneeling: able to squat or kneel to retrieve or replace items stored on low shelving.
  • Standing: able to stand for discussions in offices or on production floor.
  • Travel: able to travel independently and at short notice up to 20%, potentially internationally.
  • Walking (include routine walking such as to a shared printer to retrieve documents): able to walk through office and production areas including uneven surfaces.
  • Personal Protective Equipment required: Required PPE includes, but is not limited to, Safety Shoes, Safety Glasses, Hearing Protection, Respirators/Masks, and/or Protective Gloves as required by site and/or customer site
  • Administrative position only PPE required: Steel-toed shoes are required for all shop floor visit, appropriate hearing/eye protection may also be required when visiting the shop floor.
