Job Description:

In the context of the development of the Customer Services Strategy department , you will join the Airbus Customer Services Strategy Market & Messaging team.

Main activities:

You will lead market intelligence regional activities in the North America & Canada region supporting the Market & Messaging team.

This team aims at delivering global commercial aviation services forecasts, intelligence and business analysis, through concise and impactful stories, in order to enhance Airbus present and future services, and enable strategic aftermarket decisions across Airbus.

  • Ensure development, overall coherence and continuous improvement of the regional services demand forecast, including forecasting methodologies
  • Identify data sources to produce agile regional projections
  • Contribute to the integration of regional GSF dataset into Airbus centralized visualization tools
  • Provide advisory support to Airlines & Services Marketing teams on services addressable market computation in your region.
  • Manage the creation of GSF external & internal communication material for the yearly regional roll out, together with global and local counterparts, and under the supervision of Airbus Communication teams for any external reveal.
    • Understand industry players strategies at regional level:
      • Map regional competitors’ landscape, set up & footprint, strategy and identify main differentiators
      • Develop regional intelligence databases, jointly with Airbus Commercial & Strategy counterparts. Proactively propose data integration solutions at competitor level.
      • Propose regular regional forums to share competitive intelligence dossiers with your main interfaces
      • Participate in regional events as appropriate and report main learnings in a structured and documented way to the regional and central services communities.

    • Support to the aftermarket strategy business development efforts:
      • Develop regional market presentations specifically to support local intelligence supporting North America CEO office, HO Region and HO Commercial.
      • Take part and/or lead strategic missions to feed the organization with competitive positioning and support decision-making for Airbus Services business development & strategy.
      • Provide contextual information to business development teams when needed to assist on their respective projects in relation with political, economic, environmental, regulatory, market situation
      • Identify and consolidate major market trends and moves in your region, jointly with the Airlines & Services Marketing team, with a particular attention to Services domains not covered today by Airbus Commercial (non-addressed markets, innovations, sustainability positioning, and many more...). Formalize identified trends through creative and documented reports.
      • Build a strong and reliable network of stakeholders inside and outside Airbus and rely on as a primary source of information to build/update market intelligence regional database
    • Deliver regional societal watch reports on general hot topics than can affect commercial aviation and services performance
    • Develop clear and creative presentations for Airbus aftermarket strategy needs.
    • Take part in the development of knowledge sharing tools to align all stakeholders on one set of information and industrialize/standardize our main deliverables.
    • Participate in the “Market & Messaging” team activities reviews, and contribute to the “Market Regional Network”.

    Your role and responsibilities can be adapted according to the department's evolving priorities.

    Organization structure:

    The job holder reports operationally to the Head of Business Development and functionally to the Aftermarket Strategy Messaging & Regions Director .

    Skills/competencies:

    We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:

    - Educated to a 5-year degree level (or equivalent) in engineering or business.

    - Previous experience(s) in Commercial Aviation and/or Aviation Services

    - International experience and ability to work in a multi-cultural environment

    Hard skills:

    - Good understanding of the air transport services industry (players, market trends, ...)

    - Excellent project & stakeholder management

    - Concise & rigorous

    - Solid analytical skills & economic modeling capability

    - Able to work in an agile environment

    - Strong ability to manage complex data and convert in simple and creative stories

    Physical Requirements:

    • Onsite or remote: 60%

    • Vision: able to see and read computer screen and other electronic equipment with screens, able to read documents, reports and engineering drawings.

    • Hearing: able to hear to participate in conversations in person and via teleconference or phone and to hear sounds on production floor including safety warnings or alarms.

    • Speaking: able to speak in conversations and meetings, deliver information and participate in communications.

    • Equipment Operation (personal computer, telephone, copies, fax machine, and related office equipment and using electronic identification card to enter building floors and internal doors): able to operate most office and personal electronic equipment and some tools including production tools such as hydraulic lifts.

    • Carrying: able to carry documents, tools, drawings, electronic equipment up to 30lbs/14kgs.

    • Lifting: able to lift documents, tools, drawings, electronic equipment up to 30lbs/14kgs.

    • Pushing / Pulling: able to push and pull small office furniture and some equipment and tools.

    • Sitting: able to sit for long periods of time in meetings, working on computer.

    • Squatting / Kneeling: able to squat or kneel to retrieve or replace items stored on low shelving.

    • Standing: able to stand for discussions in offices or on production floor.

    • Travel: able to travel independently and at short notice.

    • Walking: able to walk through office and production areas including uneven surfaces.

    • Personal Protective Equipment required: Required PPE includes, but is not limited to, Safety Shoes, Safety Glasses, Hearing Protection, Respirators/Masks, and/or Protective Gloves as required by site and/or customer site• Administrative position only PPE required: Steel-toed shoes are required for all shop floor visit, appropriate hearing/eye protection may also be required when visiting the shop floor.This job requires an awareness of any potential compliance risks and a commitment to act with integrity, as the foundation for the Company’s success, reputation and sustainable growth.Company:
