We are looking for an A/C Control AutoFlight Designated Certification Specialist - “DCS” (m/f) to join our AutoFlight Certification & Safety team based in Toulouse, France.

You will be part of a team working on AutoFlight (ATA22) Certification, Safety and Airworthiness, on all Airbus programs.

As part of the team, you will be involved in the certification and airworthiness of the AutoFlight system for a given Airbus Program.

Your challenges:

Certification

  • Certifying AutoFlight modifications, i.e. defining the Certification Plan and negotiating with the airworthiness authorities (AA).
  • Coordinating various stakeholders, such as designers, test centers, pilots (due to AutoFlight specificities) for the issuance of the means of compliance (MOC)
  • Interfacing with the Airworthiness Authorities through the process

Airworthiness activities (aircraft in service)

  • In the context of the continuous airworthiness assessment of the in-service aircraft (Occurrences follow up), lead, in close cooperation with the designers, the reporting and escalation of potential safety issues and contribute to the relevant preventive and/or corrective actions plans in due time
  • Lead the interface with the Airworthiness Authorities during Airworthiness Review Meetings
  • Contribute in collaboration with the safety organization to the safety analysis of the system: Functional Hazard Analysis (FHA), System Safety Assessment (SSA), Common Mode analysis (CMA), Master Minimum Equipment List (MMEL).

This position is the unique opportunity to build strong technical competencies on Flight Controls systems, in an innovative and challenging environment. In addition the role will bring strong opportunities to develop yourself.

This position will also bring good insight in various domains, such as Certification Technical Directorate and Programmes.

Your boarding pass:

  • At least 5 years experience in one of the following domains: system safety, system certification and qualification, flight controls or auto flight system development.
  • An experience in system architecture and integration, or engineering.
  • Excellent communication, coordination, and negotiation skills
  • Autonomy and ability to motivate diverse teams
  • Negotiation level in English and French
