Job Description

The Role ​

The Aerospace Executive will support ADS’s Aerospace sector activities, including member engagement, events and trade facilitation, Sector Boards, Working Groups and Special Interest Groups management and engagement with industry.

The role holder will also support the delivery of a portfolio of aerospace sector events and will work across the sector teams in ADS, our offices in Northern Ireland, Scotland, and France, with group businesses including Farnborough International, with a strong focus on delivering for our members, growing, and strengthening ADS in the aerospace sector, coordinating, and leading on business development activities and opportunities for our members.

The role holder will report to the Head of Aerospace Business Development

  • Supporting the Head of Aerospace Business Development and the Aerospace Director in the delivery of the aerospace sector business plan.
  • Developing and increasing the ADS membership with support from the wider team.
  • Managing space sector engagement programmes in line with ADS deliverables and leading on the development and delivery of trade pipeline and events.
  • Coordinate and facilitate ADS special interest groups and sector committees.
  • Coordinating and delivering appropriate events and seminars in support of ADS and its members needs and objectives.
  • Representing ADS at meetings to engage and assist members.
  • Maintaining close working relationships throughout the membership to ensure companies have support and solutions to business issues.

The Skills & Competencies

  • Broad understanding of the aerospace sector and ability to manage complex stakeholder groups.
  • Ability to handle confidential and company proprietary information as required to support individual member companies.
  • Strong communication and presentational skills.
  • Capability of working as a self-starter and a strong team player
  • A sound knowledge of the working of UK industry and government is essential.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and overseas as appropriate to deliver role priorities.
  • Must be able to obtain DBS clearance.

The Contract & Benefits

Permanent: fulltime role, Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week.

Location: Hybrid working – 1 day a week in the London Head office.
