Admin Assistant

Farnborough, GU14 6FD

£30,000 (£15.38ph)

Full Time, Permanent, Hybrid*

Role Outline

To assist the Security Vetting Team with sponsoring National Security Vetting (NSV) level security clearances for staff and member companies including aftercare. You’ll join part of an expanding close-knit team, assisting in administering the day-to-day operations. This service delivery role sits within the Government Security Service of ADS.

What will you be doing?​

The admin assistant’s primary role will be to receive, process and manage Security Clearance applications for ADS staff and requests for sponsorship of NSV Clearance from member companies in a timely manner. Assist with aftercare requirements for staff and member companies holding Security Clearances, ensuring records are kept up to date, manage requests for confirmation of vetting status & clearance confirmations and maintain accurate Security Clearance records for sponsored individuals and companies.

​You will also respond to queries from member companies and ADS staff and provide support to the wider Security Vetting Team, Team Leader and Deputy Security Controller as required.

This role requires someone with a considered and methodical approach, who enjoys following processes, enjoys data entry with a keen eye for detail and someone that excels in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working under pressure.

This full-time role presents a great opportunity to work in a vital business function for ADS, that supports members across our sectors.

This role reports to the Security Vetting Team Leader

What do you need to be successful?

While admin knowledge and experience are important in this job, there are some essential requirements if you are to be reviewed:

  1. You MUST be a British citizen and hold a UK Passport.
  2. You MUST have lived in the UK continuously for the last 5 years
  3. You MUST be willing and able to gain and maintain SC Level National Security Vetting
  4. You MUST be willing to attend the DISA Security Vetting & Personnel Security training course

Other than that, we are looking for someone with:

  • Brilliant communication and organisational
  • Experience in an administration role
  • Experience in dealing with personal and sensitive information
  • Experience in dealing with high volume requests

This is a flexible hybrid working position working 3 days in the Farnborough office with a core day being a Tuesday.
