About the role
Reporting to the Senior Manager of Learning and Development within the People Experience Team at TAG, this position will be responsible for full cycle learning and development activities including conducting needs assessments, development of learning objectives, instructional design, facilitation and delivery of training, as well as measurement of training at all levels.
The Senior L&D Consultant will be the acting L&D business partner for multiple BU’s within The Adaptavist Group. The focus here will be to design, develop and implement all manner of training and enablement initiatives and programs while providing performance consulting, career development, skills mapping/gap analysis, coaching and mentoring to their business partners.
Responsibilities will also include working with SMEs across the business to guide and advise with the creation and delivery of technical training in our hybrid/decentralised learning environment. You will proactively seek opportunities to improve training and learning content and improve learner experiences and outcomes, while also implementing methods to track and measure the effectiveness of training and enablement programs.

What you'll be doing

Learning Program Development

  • Collaborate with leaders across the Adaptavist group to identify and assess learning and development needs across their teams.
  • Develop, facilitate and implement skill and role-based learning and development programs and courses for those areas of business that supports the Learning and Development Department’s overall strategy.
  • Conduct analysis of skills and skills gaps to assist in the development of custom learning paths and career development paths.
  • Collaborate with all People Departments (Human Resources, People Operations and the People Experience) to contribute to the success of strategic actions required by the business

Program Design and Delivery

  • Design and deliver e-learning, workshops, seminars, and coaching sessions that support the wider Adaptavist Group
  • Utilize a variety of instructional design methodologies and technologies to create engaging and impactful learning experiences including AI and ID software.
  • Aid in the design and rollout of employee orientation programs for the People Experience Team.

Performance Improvement

  • Conduct needs assessments, performance gap analyses, and skills assessments to identify areas for improvement within business units
  • Develop and implement performance support and enablement tools and resources to enhance employee productivity and effectiveness.
  • Measure and report on training effectiveness to the Senior Manager of L&D regularly to ensure OKRs and KPIs are being met.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Build strong relationships and act as an L&D business partner
  • Lead and participate in Communities of Practice in the L&D Centre of Expertise
  • Work with other key stakeholders across TAG such as PEX, HR, Marketing etc. to ensure alignment and support for learning initiatives.
  • Actively produce a variety of engagement content such as blogs, vlogs, and micro-learning for communication to the business to build the Learning and Development COE
  • Work with the L&D team lead to ensure the learning strategy is supported and executed across TAG

What we're looking for

  • Degree or equivalent certifications in Adult Education, organisational or talent development
  • Proven experience designing and executing development programs in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrable experience in writing effective copy, instructional text, and scripts that support learning objectives
  • Demonstrable project management experience and the ability to prioritise activities and meet deadlines
  • Experience supporting, designing, developing, and facilitating training and workshops
  • Independently motivated with a proven ability to follow through on initiatives and deadlines
  • Strong communication skills (verbal, written, and facilitation)
  • Strong relationship builder with internal and external SME’s and other stakeholders
  • Ability to encourage participation and motivate learners
  • Flexibility to design and deliver training in all formats: workshop, virtual, on-the-job, synchronous, asynchronous, etc.
  • Has knowledge of and experience using adult learning methodologies, principles, and evaluation models

A few nice to haves

  • Bilingual abilities in German or Spanish would be an asset
  • Solid experience at a b2b SaaS company or marketing agency
  • Exposure to a complex/global matrix environment
  • Experience with drafting, editing, and issuing communications to a varied audience
  • Experience working with a Jira service desk
  • Experience using Jira, Slack, Trello and Confluence and other collaboration/communication tools
