About the team
ScriptRunner is an Add-on that helps solve the challenges that users face every day within the Atlassian Ecosystem. This role will join the ScriptRunner leadership team, to head up the product management function and oversee all of the products within the ScriptRunner suite.
About the role
We're looking for a Head of Product Management to lead and oversee the product management team within ScriptRunner. You'll be responsible for driving product strategy and ensuring it aligns with the overall business objectives of ScriptRunner. The Head of Product Management works closely with the engineering, marketing, UXD/R and data teams to deliver innovative products that meet customer needs and drive growth.
We're looking for someone to be responsible for setting a culture of excellence, and to implement product management best practice by being an expert in product management and driving product management execution. You'll be expected to increase and improve knowledge sharing and collaboration across not only the ScriptRunner teams, but across The Adaptavist Group as a whole. You'll work closely with our key partners to create, build and maintain strong relationships with them.

Key responsibilities
- Leadership and people managementCollaborating with the portfolio leadership to set overall direction and execution of product strategies Building and maintaining close relationships with key partnersClosely collaborating with Atlassian to implement and shape the future direction of mandated requirements Creating an outcome-focused environment to empower teams to set their own product goals in line with the wider strategy Shaping the team structure to support the desired architecture of the product portfolio and ensure future adaptability Empowering managers to nurture and recruit for their teams effectively, building succession plans for key roles
- Product strategy Supporting the creation and execution of the overall product strategyAssisting in the growth of ScriptRunner by applying efficiencies, standards and product alignmentDeveloping a deep understanding of each product’s role within the portfolio and how they collectively help the business achieve its desired goalsHelping Product Managers accurately assess the life cycle stage of each product and identify the key requirements for progressing it to the next stageOptimising the investment allocation of each product by strategically expanding, reducing, or reallocating resources to drive maximum impact
- Product management & developmentOverseeing the entire product development lifecycle, from ideation to launch and post-launch supportDelivering product management excellence across the team and driving through a deep understanding of product management practicesCollaborating with cross-functional teams (engineering, design, marketing, etc.) to ensure smooth product deliveryMaking data-driven decisions to optimise product performance
- Customer experience Understanding and addressing customer needs and pain pointsGathering and analysing user feedback to inform product improvementsEnsuring a seamless and positive user experience across all product touchpointsBuilding strong relationships with customers and stakeholders
Qualifications
EssentialProven experience as Head of a product management function within a suite of products in an ecosystem landscapeProven track record of defining and delivering successful productsStrong leadership, team management, and mentoring skillsExcellent interpersonal skills, both written and verbal, enabling you to work across a range of functions, teams and seniorityDeep understanding of agile methodologies, product development lifecycles and product discovery methodologiesExperience with educating stakeholdersProven conflict resolution skillsAn ability to think innovatively and creativelyExperience using data and insights to drive processual and cultural changeExperience partnering, collaborating and building consensus with engineering, product, marketing, education, and customer success teams Strategic thinking with the ability to transform ideas into executable plans with clear roles, responsibilities and measurable outcomesAnalytical and data-driven approach to decision-making, with experience in metrics-driven product management.

DesirableProven experience working with Senior Management and C-level stakeholders to deliver on programs of workAbility to travel to meet teams, attend industry events and clientsExperience working with the Atlassian product suite or within the Atlassian ecosystemExperience within a fast-paced, fast-growth tech start-up environment
