About the role

The position reports to the Senior Finance Manager and will be responsible for key elements of 10x's accounting and financial control. This is the ideal role for a highly-motivated individual who is eager to gain on the job training and to progress within the organisation.

Responsibilities

Overall responsibilities will be:

  • Ownership of key entities’ management reporting, ensuring completeness and accuracy in accordace with accounting policies and UKGAAP
  • Managing the month-end close process and timeable, including balance sheet reconciliations
  • Production of monthly management accounts and reporting.
  • Supporting the forecasting and planning cycles.
  • Supporting process and control improvements across the finance organisation
  • Ad-hoc project and analysis work
  • Ensure that all underlying business transactions are complete and accurately recorded.
  • Supporting accounts payable with the accurate record keeping of purchases and payables.
  • Assisting department heads with expense-tracking, including cost forecasting
  • Resolution of day to day finance/ accounting queries (internal & external)
  • Assist with cashflow forecasting
  • Completion / review of balance sheet reconciliations
  • Review of all VAT and equivalent returns
  • Completion of monthly credit card and other reconciliations
  • Supporting with year-end statutory audit
  • Ad-hoc project and analysis work as required

The day-to-day

Requirements

Ideally you will have...

  • ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified with relevant experience and knowledge of IFRS and UKGAAP (FRS102)
  • Highly numerate with strong analytical skills and ability to problem solve
  • Self-starter, highly motivated and able to prioritise, project manage and work across multiple projects in a fast paced environment
  • Strong organisation and time management skills with a focus on delivering to agreed deadlines
  • Excellent and confident communicator (especially with those from non-financial backgrounds)
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Previous experience in a similar role and in particular management reporting and month-end close
  • Excellent knowledge of excel (as well as proficiency with other Microsoft programmes – Word, Powerpoint)
