We created Up Learn to deliver a world-class learning experience that brings out the best in any student. One that ensures that all students can learn effectively and master their subjects.

We realised that, by creating a paid-for educational product as effective as Up Learn, we risked widening the attainment gap. That’s why, for every person that pays, we give a licence free to a person who can’t.

To date, students and parents have helped us transform the lives of thousands of students.

About us

Since launching in 2016 we’ve achieved 97% A*/A success rate (with some students starting from grades as low as Ds and even Us), helped over 40,000 students, delivered over 10,000 scholarships to disadvantaged students, and achieved a 4.9* rating on Trustpilot. We’ve raised over £2.5m from exceptional investors including VC Forward Partners, the Chairman of Virgin, the Former President of American Express, and the Branson family, to improve and expand our product and create our next wave of A Level and GCSE courses, expanding our reach to new students every year.

Flexible working approach

At Up Learn we support flexible working with a balance between office and work from home opportunities.

We found this approach helps our team to find a good work-life balance whilst fostering collaboration and having some fun together when we meet in our office on Team and Company days.

Our working hours are typically 9am - 5pm with flexible start and finish times.

Company FlexScore™

Scoring against our flexibility index (1 = not at all flexible, 100 = couldn’t be more flexible, 51 is average) using a number of parameters to assess flexibility such as working from home, hours, frequency of travel, benefits, etc.


Employee FlexScore™

Scoring against our employee perception index (1 = not seen as flexible, 100 = couldn’t be happier with the flexibility, 51 is average) using a number of more emotional / perception based questions to understand whether employees feel supported and offered what they want. The areas we cover are work-life balance / managerial support / flexible benefits / working environment / and many others.
