Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Installing, monitoring, commissioning, testing and maintaining of equipment associated with providing telecommunications services in both technical facilities and customer property.

• Assembling, installing, testing and maintaining transmission equipment.

• Maintaining new and existing circuits through troubleshooting and fault isolation techniques.

• Coordinating the testing and turn-up of services with all involved providers.

• Reviewing, interpreting and analyzing services requests, work orders, and circuit diagrams.

• Climbing ladders and poles, working aloft, perceiving differences in wire and cable colors, distinguishing audio tones, and moving/lifting items generally not exceeding 100 lbs.

• Working evenings, weekends, holidays and unscheduled shifts as determined by the needs of the business.

• Assembling, installing, testing and turning up of high speed transport equipment such as Ciena 6500, Tellabs 7100, Fujitsu 9500, and other ROADM equipment.

• Performing first level of maintenance and troubleshooting on major technical facility equipment such as (not limited to) generators, chillers, HVAC equipment, DC plant, UPS)

• Installing Cisco routers and ethernet systems such as Overture and Ciena to provide ethernet services up to 1 GB.

What we’re looking for…
You know telecommunications technology and are anxious to put your knowledge and skills to work on Verizon’s network. You like to be busy and well-organized to stay on top of things. You know that the whole team needs to work together to win—and you take pride in a job well done.

You’ll need to have:

• Valid state driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record.

Even better if you have:

• Related Associate degree or 2 or more years of relevant work experience.

• CDL License or the ability to obtain a CDL license.

If you are hired into a California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Nevada, New York, Rhode Island, Washington or Washington, D.C. work location, the compensation range for this position is between $1,182.50 and $1,689.00 weekly based on a full-time schedule. The salary will vary depending on your location and confirmed job-related skills and experience. This is an incentive based position with the potential to earn more. For part time roles, your compensation will be adjusted to reflect your hours.
