Job Description

When you join Verizon

You want more out of a career. A place to share your ideas freely — even if they’re daring or different. Where the true you can learn, grow, and thrive. At Verizon, we power and empower how people live, work and play by connecting them to what brings them joy. We do what we love — driving innovation, creativity, and impact in the world. Our V Team is a community of people who anticipate, lead, and believe that listening is where learning begins. In crisis and in celebration, we come together — lifting our communities and building trust in how we show up, everywhere & always. Want in? Join the V Team Life.

What you'll be doing…

You’ll be studying new and emerging trends in B2B to fuel your thinking about where we head next and how we’ll transform Verizon's VBG market. You’ll explore the current state, and identify gaps and the next big opportunity. And craft a long-term vision and adjust along the way as you respond to the rapidly changing landscape. You’ll bring your vision to life from development to go-to-market strategy and into the hands of customers, building better ways for businesses to stay connected.

  • Understanding and anticipating what the market needs.

  • Testing out new ideas and concepts for feasibility and market potential.

  • Creating what’s next to meet those needs.

  • Leading a team to achieve your vision.

  • Defining the product vision and customer experience and bringing it to the global market.

  • Forging strong relationships with external partners and cross-functional teams to get it all done.

  • Advocating for your products to gain resources and support needed for success.

  • Assessing performance for continuous improvement.

  • Develop SME level understanding of existing Verizon platforms and commerce flows in order to provide strategic recommendations for enhancements.

  • Work closely with stakeholders across various internal teams to gather requirements and implement enhancements in coordination with UX, design, dev and QA teams.

  • Participate in business case development and presentations for alignment with working teams.

  • Collaborate with traditionally non-digital teams to align on goals and develop win/win strategies for digital adoption.

What we’re looking for...

You are the creative one but you are not just a big idea person, you know what makes sense and how to get it done. You have conviction in your ideas but also know how to collaborate and when to adjust your approach. You embrace failure for the learning it provides. You can inspire and motivate others to deliver your vision. You view obstacles as puzzles to be solved. You are driven by the desire to delight your ultimate client, the customer.

You’ll need to have:

  • Experience developing and implementing ecommerce strategy preferably in telecom.

  • Prior experience with digital analytics, operations, ecommerce and/or website design.

  • Ability to analyze disparate data sources and develop actionable recommendations independently or with analytics team support.

  • Experience with digital funnel and campaign analysis for complex ecommerce transactions.

  • Executive grade presentation skills with emphasis on storytelling and cross-functional alignment.

  • Experience working with business stakeholders and operations to coordinate adoption of projects

  • Hands on experience with Adobe Analytics, Tableau and other reporting and analytics tools

  • Ability to identify, trouble shoot, and resolve problems across the digital ecosystem.

  • Exceptional communication skills; written, oral and presentation.

  • Managed products from ideation through development to launch.

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.

  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • A Master’s degree – ideally an MBA.

  • Familiarity with best-practices-based product innovation concepts such as human-centered design thinking, lean, and agile.

  • Convey your ideas in compelling and persuasive ways to a variety of audiences.

  • Led a team to achieve goals.

  • Proven ability to manage deadlines in a highly-complex, fast-paced environment.

  • Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills

  • Experiencing leading product teams, especially cross-functional teams, with ability to execute on multiple assignments independently and proactively.

  • Mentor team members, foster their growth, and identify areas for skill enhancement

  • Innovation mindset

If Verizon and this role sound like a fit for you, we encourage you to apply even if you don’t meet every “even better” qualification listed above.

Where you’ll be working

In this hybrid role, you'll have a defined work location that includes work from home and assigned office days set by your manager.
