What you will be doing….

Verizon is looking for a dynamic, entrepreneurial, highly motivated Senior Engineer Consultant- Software Development for developing AI based solutions in Verizon Business-IT organization. This portfolio is responsible for developing and managing the platform, applications and BOTs for Verizon Business Portfolio for serving Verizon’s Business Customers in 4 different segments namely, Small Medium Business, Enterprise, Public Sector and Wholesale Partners. This role includes the development of new application, enhancing the existing application and development & maintenance of BOTs for varied functions in sales & service area.

  • Building and Developing solutions in the newly developed ReactJS/ Python GUI base solutions, Microservices backend code along with Data Modelling.

  • Developing extensions/and maintaining applications using front end technologies ReactJS and NodeJS

  • Building and Developing solutions in the migration efforts to latest technologies.

  • Driving new solutions, proof of concepts and help drive the architectural direction. Work closely with the CCAI platform team in order to contribute to the Verizon platform and also to utilize new platform features back in the managed certificate product.

  • Defining end to end architecture for enterprise level applications with current advanced technologies

  • Designing, developing and implementing scalable/pluggable React/Node/AWS based applications

  • Resolving technical issues through debugging, research, and investigation.

  • Understanding of the entire web development and BOT development process (design, development and deployment)

  • Assisting in investigating production issues and providing solutions.

  • Evaluating and recommend new technologies and update versions of existing ones.

  • Designing/Developing reusable framework.

  • Analyzing and resolving technical and application problems.

  • Understanding the application design and work on the development and design of the deliverables assigned.

  • Utilizing DevOps tools like GIT, JIRA, Confluence, and Jenkins to work on the application deliverables.

  • Optimizing applications for maximum speed.

  • Collaborating with back-end developers and web designers to improve usability.

  • Understanding the application design and work on the development and design of the deliverables assigned.

  • Writing secure code which should not have any vulnerabilities reported.

What we’re looking for…

You enjoy using your analytical skills to solve complex problems. You’re flexible and great at working in teams and can use your strong communication skills to get your point across and get motivated in finding solutions to meet defined requirements in a fast-paced environment.

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree of four or more years of work experience.

  • Four or more years of relevant work experience.

  • Experience in architecting end to end solutions with CCAI, ReactJS, Node, Micro Service, Data Modelling and Python.

  • Experience with large scale public and cloud-based solution development, delivery and multi-tenant operations.

  • Knowledge on DevOps.

  • Knowledge in developing, deploying, and debugging cloud-based applications.

  • Knowledge of the use of containers in the development process.

  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.

  • Knowledge on secure coding practices

  • Knowledge of code versioning tools, such as GIT and other tools like – Jenkins, GitLab etc.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • Knowledge on AWS.

  • Security Domain Knowledge.

  • Knowledge on Gitlab pipeline with EKS(CI/HELM/CD).
