What you'll be doing…
Verizon is looking for a Project/Program Manager to lead a portfolio of work in the newly established Program Management Office (PMO) in the Digital Experience Platform (DXP) team for Verizon Business Group’s (VBG’s) Marketing organization. The successful candidate will be a self-starter, have a strong customer orientation, excellent ability to influence, and a passion for executing large-scale, complex projects and programs. In this role, you will work closely with all levels of our organization and amongst digital product owners (POs), functional subject matter experts (SMEs), and IT, in order to ensure we’re delivering the most valuable outcomes at the best time for our customers.
What we're looking for…
Developing a comprehensive program roadmap reflecting planned projects across a digital portfolio, and oversee the scoping, sizing of costs, and benefits of the projects
Supporting the Front Door Process to prioritize all incoming work requests based on strategic priority, cost-benefit and resource capacity information
Defining, documenting and evangelize program/project planning, execution and reporting standards
Leading key strategic digital initiative launches end-to-end, including release planning with Go-to-Market (GTM) teams, release slotting with IT, and readiness assessments with cross-department PMOs
Optimizing, automate, and govern the use of project and portfolio management tools such as JIRA and Clarity
Defining and implement DXP portfolio level reporting to turn data into actionable insights
Ensuring the fluid management of integration efforts, working in a matrix environment with high levels of ambiguity
Creating slideware that effectively conveys compelling business stories
Where you'll be working...
In this hybrid role, you'll have a defined work location that includes work from home and assigned office days set by your manager.
You’ll need to have:
Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.
Four or more years of relevant work experience.
Exceptional communication skills; written, oral and presentation.
Experience working in a PMO
Effective interpersonal and team building capabilities
Even better if you have:
BS/BA or its equivalent in business, management information, project management, technology or economics or equivalent relevant experience
Four or more years of relevant work experience; preferably in IT or digital marketing, ideally in an enterprise environment
Demonstrated ability to influence organizational direction and departmental initiatives working up, down and across the organization
Willing to challenge the status quo, in the appropriate settings and providing compelling evidence
Dedication and determination to see things through from start to finish, with a commitment to excellence.
Intermediate- advanced skill level using project management tools, office productivity, and data analytics tools. Advanced Proficiency in Google Suite and/or MS PowerPoint and Excel.
