What you’ll be doing...
You’ll be leading the sourcing process for a category within the Accessories, Wearables and Gaming team, helping manage a spend of $700m+. While guiding your internal stakeholders through the acquisition process, you’ll be managing commercial negotiations with key suppliers, providing supplier & market intelligence & insights, analysing qualifications, negotiating agreements, identify savings opportunities and monitoring supplier performance. Our purchasing power combined with your skills and expertise will help us maintain our market-leading position. Negotiating commercial terms for product launches & refreshes
Category Strategy support - Focused on product lifetime investment and total cost of ownership
Guiding internal business partners through the supplier selection process.
Working cross-functionally to document requirements, build RFPs, conduct negotiations for renewal or new agreement and identify savings opportunities.
Handling the sourcing process, ensuring that it aligns with our policies.
Lead various cross functional teams to develop Verizon's requirements and reach consensus on commercial approach.
Work closely with Legal counsel, Contract Manager, and other policy subject matter expert to establish new or renewal of agreements with Suppliers.
Plan and propose sourcing strategies that best support the business.
Validating those suppliers are upholding contract terms and conditions.
Present and update key deal executive memo to Leadership team for new contracts and renewals.
Create and update Category Strategy.
Performing market analyses to find potential new suppliers.
What we’re looking for...
You understand telecoms and the fast-paced nature of handsets, wearables, accessories & gaming. Because you are a master relationship builder, external suppliers see you as an invaluable partner and internal stakeholders see you as a trusted advisor. You have no problem prioritizing multiple simultaneous projects and you’re no stranger to tight timelines. Balancing the intersection of cost, efficiency, and quality, you expertly negotiate the best outcomes for all parties.
You’ll need to have:
Bachelor’s or relevant work experience.
Experience in consumer device sourcing & category management
Proven ability to drive change and transformation.
Knowledge of strategic sourcing processes, policies, and procedures.
Even better if you have one or more of the following:
Experience in negotiation and cost management practices.
Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
Experience in team leadership skills.
Experience working in a fast-paced matrixed global environment.
Project Management in complex multi-project and multi-geography environment.
Self-motivated /self-starter with ability to work independently.
Analytical and/or technical experience with strong attention to detail.
Strong presentation skills and ability to prepare and present across multiple organizational leadership levels.
