What you’ll be doing...

Our dynamic Operational Design & Service Enablement (OD&SE) team at Verizon is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Technical Project Manager to lead the design and implementation of innovative products and services. In this role, you will play a crucial part in shaping the customer experience by shepherding projects from concept to launch.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Managing a portfolio of 6-8 high-impact projects simultaneously, ensuring timely and successful delivery within scope and budget.

  • Collaborating closely with product teams throughout the product development lifecycle, providing input on requirements and development.

  • Leveraging Agile and Project Management best practices to drive efficient project execution.

  • Partnering effectively with cross-functional teams across Verizon Business Group (VBG), including Operations, Service Delivery, IT, and external vendors.

  • Overseeing all project phases, including initiation, planning, design, execution, monitoring, controlling, and closure.

  • Providing clear and concise project updates to stakeholders at all levels, including executive leadership.

What we’re looking for...

Our ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully managing complex projects, including those with executive visibility. You will posses a strong experience working in a matrixed organization and collaborating with diverse teams. You will have exceptional communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and effectively prioritize competing demands.

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience

  • Six or more years of relevant work experience

  • Experience leading and working with cross functional teams

  • Experience in leading meetings (calls/Webex/in-person), state the project goals and objectives, drive team members to meet those goals and objectives and all open actions throughout the project lifecycle

  • Strong organizational and project management skills

  • Strategic planning capability

  • Experience with Google Drive, MS Word, MS PPT, MS Project and MS Excel skills

  • Willingness to travel

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • A degree

  • Eight or more years of project management experience, especially any experience in support of a Product Development organization

  • PMP certification and/or VLSS.

  • Experience in Engineering, Planning, and/or Operations, especially with Telecommunications networks (ie. Wireless - 4G/5G, Advance Communications, Network and Security)

  • Technical and project leadership knowledge experience

  • Ability to proactively identify needs and the willingness to take action

  • Assertiveness and negotiation skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Excellent presentation skills,

Where you’ll be working

In this hybrid role, you'll have a defined work location that includes work from home and a minimum eight assigned office days per month that will be set by your manager.
