What you’ll be doing...
The successful candidate will be working in a hybrid model from our Florence office and you will be part of a cross-functional engineering team delivering key features for our award-winning SAAS offering, Reveal. As a Senior QA engineer you will be working directly with UX, BA and full stack engineers to deliver coded automated tests for browser and mobile based applications in a CI/CD environment, following Kanban methodologies.
Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain automated tests for our Reveal products
Write and review test cases based on functional and technical requirements
Set up and monitoring of automation test suites as part of CI/CD pipeline
Working directly with our architecture team defining best in class automation test tools and frameworks
Working with product and engineering team members defining and managing feature backlogs
Maintaining bug backlogs - triaging and prioritizing with stakeholders
Advocate for QA and defining/maintaining quality standards within your team
Coaching and mentoring of junior developers
What we’re looking for...
You'll need to have:
Bachelor's degree in computer science or related discipline
Strong knowledge of testing fundamentals and best practices - development of test case documentation, edge case and boundary testing, smoke tests, regression tests
Experience working with CICD pipelines with test automation (such as Octopus or similar)
Hands-on experience developing automated end-2-end and functional tests
A passionate software developer with a strong interest in new and emerging technologies in the automation area and the confidence to influence the technical direction on projects
Experience with GIT or related source control tools (BitBucket or Github)
Fluency in English
Even better if you have one or more of the following:
Experience with AWS or similar cloud platform
Experience mentoring other developers in automation best practices
Experience with monitoring tools such as AppDynamics, Grafana and CloudWatch
Excellent communication skills both written and oral - comfortable presenting to their team and wider groups
Strong experience in lean methodologies and processes (Kanban) leading process improvements and engineering disciplines
Knowledge of Test Driven Development and Domain Driven Design
