What you'll be doing…

As a Senior Manager - Program Management, You'll be taking care of the Strategy and Operation- Program and Portfolio Management practice to drive global IT Delivery and Portfolio Business Operations for VBG


The roles and responsibilities include -

  • Defining/Refining Finance Model and Governance for key portfolio in Verizon business group including Budget/Resource Management and cost optimisation.

  • Facilitating/ Guiding the internal team on Headcount & Budget Finalisation, Change control, Budget reduction & Expense reduction exercises.

  • Strong focus on executing(planning and tracking), strategic workforce strategy to achieve portfolio objectives.

  • Strong Vendor Governance focus - Program managing contingent labor Ramp up,Ensuring accurate and timely invoicing of vendor payments adhering to defined SLAs,Collaborate with delivery teams and Sourcing and proactively work on contract extensions and required approvals, close collaboration with finance team on SOW extensions

  • Tracking & analyzing the key insights from Vendor Partners meeting and providing key insights to Vendor Performance Manager, Sourcing and other stakeholders and Collating feedback from relevant stakeholders on Vendor Performance across multiple parameters - quality, innovation, user experience, value generated, productivity, etc.

  • Drive charter for employee enablement and engagement to enhance the overall employee experience

  • Program Managing all executive reviews and internal engagement events by ensuring participation,coordination and implementation.

  • Facilitate branding and communication to instil pride and loyalty in employees

  • Driving Innovation as a culture and supporting events like Hackathon etc

  • Executive summary with portfolio Data analysis and insights for continuous improvement of team and delivery operations.

  • Reporting on key metrics related to People, Process & Technology.

Where you’ll be working…

In this hybrid role, you'll have a defined work location that includes work from home and assigned office days set by your manager.

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor's degree or four or more years of experience

  • Six or more years of relevant work experience

  • Program management/ ITIL certifications

  • Strong change champion and culture catalyst -organising employee engagement meetings and events and listening to Voice Of Employee

  • Expert in portfolio budget and finance management and tracking

  • Knowledge of project management techniques and methods.

  • Knowledge of productivity and program management tools/software-eg. Jira, Confluence / Clarity, G Suite, slack , etc

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • Bachelor’s/Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Information Management.

  • Quantitative, problem-solving, technical and analytical skills.

  • Knowledge of operational and financial performance management measures, including implications for IT and Business strategy.

  • Strong relationship management skills to interface with internal IT leaders, business leaders and external vendors.

  • Strong vendor relationship management and coordination capabilities, ability to effectively handle and resolve disputes.

  • Ability to build trust based relationships with vendors and other stakeholders.

  • Strong communication, negotiation, and influencing skills.

  • Strong presentation, verbal, and written communication skills.

  • Desktop applications competency (e.g., Microsoft Office, Google Mail, Google Sheets, Google Docs, Google Drives, Google Slides, PPT, Excel, etc.)
