What You’ll Be Doing:
The Senior Manager of Marketing is responsible for the base of customers on the SafeLink brand and Government Discount Programs (GDP) across multiple Value brands in the portfolio. Your goals are to reduce churn and drive service revenue growth for these customers, as well as support any new commercial value props announced by the brand or government while maintaining program compliance.
You will design and monitor the execution of targeted base campaigns using data and customer insights while identifying incremental opportunities to achieve the GDP’s KPIs. You will think strategically and analytically while keeping the low-income customer at the center of your efforts as you formulate ideas and carry them through execution and beyond to retrospective analysis. You will do this by proactively aligning with:
GDP Business team to understand, filter, and prioritize relevant plans, services, recommendations, technical functionality, and offers from their end and then design the base management strategies to achieve and support them
Aligning with Brand leads to ensure synchrony between the Brand strategies/initiatives and the GDP initiatives, positively impacting brand KPIs such as Churn and Revenue, and protecting and preserving the non-GDP Brand contactable customer information.
Responsibilities:
Overall:
Oversee the development and implementation of base management strategies that drive engagement with SafeLink and GDP products or services and increase base tenure.
Design data-driven, targeted strategies to deliver messages that are prioritized, personalized, and simultaneously beneficial to the customer and Verizon.
Build, maintain, adapt, and optimize Base Management's annual roadmaps and plans for the SafeLink brand and the GDP non-SafeLink brands.
Track the impact of all GDP campaigns to make changes as necessary to achieve offer goals and improve the impact and accuracy of this work in the future
Communicate your GDP marketing plan, churn drivers, and quantified campaign results to partners and leadership through written and verbal formatsAuthors and owns strategic briefs for multiple products and lines of business and targets multiple audiences from working teams to executive-level overviews.
Lead and collaborate with partner cross-functional teams, including (but not limited to): Commercial Brand Team leads, Business Intelligence, Marketing Communications, New Technology development team, Performance Management, Finance, Legal, GTS, and Leadership to define objectives and deliver on your targeted strategies
Ensure all projects are aligned with established strategy and manages timelines by actively driving all GDP program details and the status of any deliverable at a given time, keeping team members supplied with the information they need
Lead, coach, develop and inspires the GDP Base Management individuals to deliver exceptional performance
Commercial Government Offers:
Serve as the single point of contact and base management SME for your Commercial Government Brand team partner/team
Work with internal base management partners to advise on base impact of commercial value prop and legal requirements from the FCC (revenue and churn), including business case assumptions.
Design and execute targeted marketing plans for these commercial offers, prioritizing them when necessary to best achieve brand goals.
Restricted Base Management Offers:
Identify brand-specific opportunities and design strategies and offers to unlock incremental benefits
Build, manage, and execute restricted offers from beginning to end including needs identification, target and offer refinement, business case build and approval, offer build, inbound/outbound creative development, campaign launch, and results analysis
What we’re looking for:
You’ll need to have:
Bachelor’s degree or four or more years work experience
Six or more years of relevant work experience
Even better if you have one or more of the following:
MBA Preferred.
Experience in the wireless or telecommunications industry with an understanding of backend functionalities in the wireless category (airtime replenishment, e-comm stores, and web transactions, payment tools, CRM capabilities, etc.)
Strong research, analytical, and critical thinking skills with the ability to see things not readily apparent to others and to find unique solutions to complex challenges in a very fast-paced environment
Experience in strategic marketing planning, Go-to-Market Strategies, and financial analysis
Experience gathering, organizing, and analyzing large amounts of information
Experience presenting ideas and content to a variety of stakeholders at various levels
Possesses Emotional Intelligence IQ and is skilled at navigating social environments, building relationships, handling interpersonal interactions, and coping with difficulties by practicing empathy, self-awareness, self-regulation, social skills, and flexible collaboration.
Experience working collaboratively with a variety of stakeholders and high-level team players, and able to shift language and context properly to communicate effectively
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to clearly express complex ideas and explain problems clearly and concisely. Spanish is a plus
High proficiency with G Suite, Jira Atlassian, Thoughtspot, Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; even better if you also have experience with Think-Cell, Smartsheets, and Power BI
Demonstrated ability to take initiative, work with minimal supervision, and independently manage concurrent projects to timely completion
Demonstrated ability to think strategically and to "see the big picture"
Strong business acumen in Brand Management and Product Marketing, and ability to provide strong insights required to build business cases for offer approval, market research outcomes, and competitive assessments
Ability to influence executive conversation on perspective or key decision
Ability to pivot current strategies at a fast-paced rhythm, while implementing contingency plans to achieve initial results in a different way

In this hybrid role, you'll have a defined work location that includes work from home and a minimum eight assigned office days per month that will be set by your manager.
