What you will be doing....We are searching for a talented and experienced Senior Android Developer to join our growing mobile team. In this role, you will be responsible for the entire lifecycle of Android application development, from design and architecture to implementation, testing, and deployment. You will also play a key role in mentoring junior developers and staying up-to-date on the latest trends and technologies in the Android ecosystem.
- Design, develop, and maintain high-quality, scalable, and efficient Android applications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (design, product, QA) to define, implement, and launch new features.
- Ensure the performance, stability, and responsiveness of applications across a wide range of Android devices and versions.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code adhering to best practices and coding standards.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and fix bugs effectively.
- Conduct code reviews and provide mentorship to junior developers.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest Android SDK, libraries, tools, and technologies (Jetpack Compose, Kotlin Coroutines, etc.).
- Assist in technical discussions and contribute to the overall architecture of the applications.
What we are looking for...You will need to have:
- Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.
- Experience in Android development.
- Proven experience in designing, developing, and deploying complex Android applications.
- Knowledge of Java and/or Kotlin.
- Knowledge of Android architecture principles (MVVM, MVP, etc.).
- Experience with Android Studio, the Android SDK, and various development tools (Git, debuggers, etc.).
- Experience with unit testing frameworks (JUnit, Mockito).
- A passion for mobile development and a desire to learn and adapt to new technologies.
Even better if you have one or more of the following:
- Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and teamwork skills.
- Experience with Jetpack Compose
- Experience with integrating with backend services (Firebase, etc.)
- Experience with performance optimization techniques
- Experience with accessibility best practices
Where you’ll be working
In this hybrid role, you'll have a defined work location that includes work from home and assigned office days set by your manager.
