The Sr. Director, Field Marketing will play a key role on the Local Marketing and Growth leadership team. They will be responsible for leading all local consumer marketing functions in partnership with local retail sales and operations teams to drive net performance outcomes in the market territory. The Director must have a broad range of skills that include the ability to lead and motivate a large organization, think and act strategically and tactically, provide field insights to influence decisions and partner effectively across a matrix organization.
Marketing: Identify challenges & opportunities using business intelligence insights from local geographies, segments, channels, etc. to drive net customer growth. Develop a deep understanding of customer dynamics and competitive intelligence. Craft marketing plans and recommendations that will leverage national assets to best capitalize on the local opportunities and address segment challenges.
Field Execution: Oversees execution of cross-channel marketing and sales initiatives in our reatil stores and locally, providing a high degree of responsiveness to the market. Drives streamlined consistent content reinforcement to ensure maximum awareness and education of our front line and retail sales associates. Supports local grassroots marketing, sponsorships, media and merchandising efforts.
May be called upon to support emergency response and execution.Manages OEM engagement at a local level and executes joint events for the markets.
Field Feedback / Upstream Influence: Partners with local retail sales leadership team and national marketing teams to influence early development of new propositions and concepts. Recognizes local competitive pain points and advocates for tools to drive incremental outcomes.
Sales Channel Enablement: Acts as a highly collaborative liaison and advocate between HQ marketing and operational teams and field sales teams in order to implement programs that will exceed sales targets of the organization. Collaborates with market leadership to ensure strong adoption and execution of key programs. Influences and raises awareness around best practice approaches using tools, training and support resources.
Build our V Team Culture: Leads a team of employees in an effort to drive national standardization and leverage scale. Drive collaboration and integration of efforts across markets and HQ teams.
What we’re looking for...
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required. MBA preferred.
8+ years of relevant work experience in marketing or sales operations.
5+ years experience leading Marketing, Sales Operations and/or Sales teams.
A strong strategic thinker who possesses the confidence and composure required to influence senior leaders and effectively communicate across a diverse set of constituents.
Strong relationship building skills across all levels, with ability to effectively navigate HQ.
Strong analytical and financial acumen.
Strong understanding of marketing strategy and marketing tactics and execution, including media, creative, direct marketing, social/digital media, sponsorships, in-store marketing, local events and grassroots programs.
Proven leadership ability and knowledge of the wireless industry required.
Strong executive presence and comfort navigating and representing the organization in a professional and engaging manner.
Superior organizational, interpersonal, communication, negotiation, staff development and operations skills required.
This position requires full accountability to meet aggressive deadlines, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and to work in a fast-paced, dynamic, customer and team-oriented work environment.
Ability to anticipate needs and to act proactively.
Demonstrated flexibility, adaptability and the ability to manage and drive change.
Impeccable integrity required for handling confidential information.
Travel Percentage: 25-50%

In this hybrid role, you'll have a defined work location that includes work from home and a minimum eight assigned office days per month that will be set by your manager.
