What you’ll be doing...

Verizon is seeing a rise in demand for complex strategic network solutions which go across the entire scope of the Verizon Wireless and Wireline services. In such solutions, our customers are no longer pre-defining specific designs, but rather hold Verizon to a very specific set of redundancy, security and visibility business outcomes. In order to deliver upon this solution, the VBG product organization is currently seeking a skilled, experienced and senior level Manager to join our Technology Enablement team to deliver upon these requirements for our most critical government and large enterprise customers.

In this role, as part of the Integrated Solutions team, you will define a long term strategy to deliver upon these evolving technical requirements, in close cooperation with the account teams for our largest government and global enterprise customers. Short term you will take on the responsibility to deliver on the next phases of a complex strategic network solution. The success of this project will be measured by the timely and quality delivery of:

  • A fully diverse & managed network consisting of Verizon and Third Party MPLS, avoiding any single point of failure with an availability target of at least 99.9997%.

  • End-to end standard API based quoting, ordering and provisioning automation towards third party MPLS providers

  • End-to-End Diversity Audit Process

  • A Managed Service Flow end-to-end visibility and SLA reporting solution across Verizon and Third Party MPLS

  • End-to end overlay security enablement

As Senior Manager for Integrated Solutions, you will play a leading and integral role in the Verizon Business Group Technology Solutions organization that owns the technical delivery, platform strategy, roadmap & feature development, and prioritization management of the solutions roadmap.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Leading and managing the end-to-end development and delivery of the above complex strategic network solution, ensuring adherence to product & project management best practices, methodologies, and timelines.

  • Collaborating with Product stakeholders, network, access, Managed Services, Security product and operational teams, and carrier management to gather requirements, define project goals, and establish clear objectives.

  • Working closely with cross-functional teams, including, GTS, TPD, network engineers, developers, solution architects, and service delivery teams, to design and implement the complex strategic network solution.

  • Collaborating with relevant teams to develop and implement standard-based API-based automation to support the long-term evolution of the complex strategic network solution.

  • Providing regular updates on project progress, risks, and mitigation strategies to stakeholders.


What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field or four or more years of work experience.

  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.

  • Proven experience in product development, specifically in IT development projects for government customers.

  • Experience working with multiple providers and coordinating diverse project requirements.

  • Familiarity with government compliance regulations and security standards

  • Ability to work to lead program goals to completion without direction.

  • Ability to obtain Public Trust Clearance.

Even better if you have:

  • A Master’s degree in a design and/or engineering field.

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

  • Project management certifications (e.g., PMP).

  • Ten or more years of demonstrated full-lifecycle ownership of product development, with cross team and cross discipline execution, either directly or as an organizational leader.

  • Knowledge of business objectives and being creative enough to help define what we build, with demonstrated experience leading developers facing product efforts.

  • Ability to make decisions that impact projects and staff members.

  • Ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously.

  • Experience with Verizon Wireline Networking, Security and Managed services.

Where you’ll be working

In this hybrid role, you'll have a defined work location that includes work from home and a minimum eight assigned office days per month that will be set by your manager.
