What you’ll be doing...

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Node.js Developer with a strong understanding of AWS to join our dynamic team.

  • Design, develop, and maintain server-side applications using Node.js.
  • Architect and implement scalable and reliable solutions on AWS.
  • Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.
  • Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
  • Implement security and data protection measures.
  • Write reusable, testable, and efficient code.
  • Troubleshoot and debug applications.
  • Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies.
  • Responsible for conceiving, specifying, designing, programming, documenting, testing, and bug fixing involved in creating and maintaining software components.
  • Lead discussions with the business to determine the requirements and design of large-scale software systems and services that best meets the needs of the business.
  • Determine the structure, design, and scope of the software systems and services, utilizing the necessary programming languages.
  • Develop the initial design and testing framework, verifying that the design meets requirements and implementing into production.
  • Provides guidance and standards for resolving issues that occur during the programming and design of the software.
  • Ensure that the project is completed within the specified timeframe, prioritizing resources to ensure objectives are being met.
  • Identify software integration requirements for production deployment and lead integration discussions with internal/external impacted partners.
  • Oversee development of the software to ensure the software implementation meets the design and integration requirements. Work with identified stakeholders to lead the production deployment and acceptance handoff of the software.
  • Ensure tight privacy, compliance and security controls are maintained in all the frameworks.

What we’re looking for...

  • Bachelor’s degree or six or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience in Node.js Backend development.
  • Knowledge of AWS services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS.
  • Experience using MongoDB.
  • Experience with RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
  • Familiarity with front-end technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript frameworks).
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Be able to work independently with cross functional teams including project management, product marketing, IT and product engineering
  • Should be proactive and able to perform in a large company environment involving: end users, and multivendor, multidisciplinary teams.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • Proficiency in JavaScript and asynchronous programming.
  • Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI).
  • Familiarity with serverless architecture and frameworks.
  • Understanding of database management and optimization.
  • Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., CloudWatch, ELK stack).

Where you’ll be working

In this hybrid role, you'll have a defined work location that includes work from home and assigned office days set by your manager.
