What you’ll be doing...
You’ll be working within the EMEA Pre-sales Solution Architecture team, which provides pre-sales advisory and solution consultancy support for our enterprise clients, helping them to embrace innovation and drive change.
Working closely with core sales and other pre-sales functions, you’ll be aligned to specific sales teams or designated to supporting a larger group of targeted customers in the EMEA region. As a trusted partner to our clients, you will focus on the business problems that we aim to solve, not just the technologies that we use. The role requires a self-motivated individual who is keen to learn, and consults, designs, documents and presents to both technically and non-technically minded Business Executives.
Key responsibilities:
Provide pre-sales customer support, guidance and insight for activities focused on standard, product-based solutions.
Adhere to a standard model for engagement, consultancy, solution development and execution to help enable a platform for best practice to evolve.
Work as part of a wider pre-sales team, supporting peers and taking ownership as needed.
Responsible for adherence to Verizon solution design governance in terms of both Deal Lifecycle Management and consistent use of standard design tools.
Working within a standard framework to ensure a smooth handover to post-sales Engineering and Delivery teams.
Contribute to the creation of customer specific value proposition, linking client business objectives & requirements to our proposed end to end solutions.
Build and develop relationships with client stakeholders and participate in on-going governance programs to ensure best practice and effective communication.
Maintain the ability to explain complex technical issues in a way that non-technical people can understand.
Continuously invest in your personal brand development, leveraging internal educational and training tools for building knowledge and acquiring technology certifications as well whilst also seeking external resources.
Maintain technology/industry best practice certifications as appropriate (for example Cisco, Microsoft, ITIL, TOGAF).
What we’re looking for...
You'll need to have:
A Bachelor’s degree or relevant work experience.
Experience of pre-sales solution architecture or selling technology solutions to large enterprise customers.

The ability to clearly explain technical concepts to a variety of audiences.
A desire to work in complex environments, across diverse teams and with a variety of global enterprises.
Knowledge of Software Defined Networking & Virtual Network Services.
Knowledge of Security Technology (firewalls, policies, detection, mitigation).
If Verizon and this role sound like a fit for you, we encourage you to apply even if you don’t meet every “even better” qualification listed above.
