What you’ll be doing...
Personalization is our key Verizon enabler for growth and retention. In support of this, VCG is continuing its growth and centralization of these complex practices.
As a Manager of Base Personalization, you will be responsible for integrating AI recommendation, modeling, and other decisioning capabilities into our marketing strategy and platforms. AI enables 1:1 customer personalization by matching the right offer and message to meet customers’ needs. NBx decisioning allows us to select the right place and right time to deliver each strategy. These marketing capabilities are how we build tools and technology to operate more efficiently and effectively going forward by fully maximizing automation tools.
This role sits within the Digital Marketing & Base Management group in Verizon Consumer Group. Along with your peers, you will be responsible for delivering $500M in incremental billed revenue in 2024 through incremental gross adds and reduced voluntary churn.
Responsibilities include:
Driving incremental revenue through add-a-line, plan step ups, perk & product adoption & activation, as well as accessory sales.
Protecting our existing customer base by reducing voluntary churn through optimized NBx customer decisioning, AI-integrated dynamic offers.
Optimizing our Next Best Offer/Action (NBx) engine to arbitrate among a library of marketing actions we could accomplish with customers at all decisioning points (MyOffers, Compass, VZ App, VZ Online, Chatbot, IVR, Email & SMS campaigns).
Creating test designs (treat vs control, champion vs challenger) to determine best performing technologies, strategies, or tools. Deploy, measure, and collapse these tests optimizing our results continuously upward.
Partnering across stakeholders in DMBM, AI&D, GTS, CXO, and Finance to stakeholder our roadmap and statuses bringing this work to market.
Presenting findings to the leadership team regularly conveying our current statuses, results, and our path forward.

You need to have:
Six or more years of relevant experience required, demonstrated through one or a combination of work and/or military experience, or specialized training.
Experience and working knowledge of Catalyst, Jira, and the Verizon Agile process.
Experience negotiating, shaping and influencing ideas and actions, consensus building, conflict resolution, and navigating complex organizations to identify/connect right stakeholders to drive outcomes.
Experience creating presentations, adjusting messaging for specific audiences and present to all levels of an organization.
Quantitative and analytical skills, including ability to conduct outside/inside research, analyze data, develop models and drive analyses, and financial planning and analysis skills to set and meet/exceed business targets.
Experience with structuring and driving processes, measuring and communicating progress to achieve business targets, identifying obstacles, addressing remediation plans and demonstrating consistent/timely follow-up.

Bachelor’s degree, MBA or advanced degree.
Ability to balance strategic and tactical thinking; can work in an organized and self-sufficient manner in ambiguous and unstructured work situations.
Ability to translate complex ideas and express them in concise, simple to understand ways.
Executive presence, excellent oral & written communication and formal presentation skills.
Highly energetic, enthusiastic and motivated leader; ability to galvanize an organization around new ideas and solutions.
Demonstrate a growth mindset; constantly incorporate different perspectives to identify opportunities.
Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment, meet tight deadlines, and simultaneously work on multiple projects.

In this hybrid role, you'll have a defined work location that includes work from home and a minimum eight assigned office days per month that will be set by your manager.
