This role is within the Value Digital/Customer Experience team where we create and improve digitally-led experiences for our customers, striving for reliable, simple, exceptional world-class journeys.
We are seeking a Lead Experience Designer to join our Shopping Journey team, where we are iteratively designing and developing best in class experiences for our customers. What you’ll be doing:
Leading cross-disciplinary teams in complex design programs to design seamless and unified end-to-end experiences for our users, including mapping out user needs, desires, and business opportunities.
Leveraging research, data, and best practices, then working with partners across the business to explore concepts and co-create experiences.
Demonstrating a genuine passion for crafting intricate and detailed journey maps, service blueprints, and user experience designs that offer clear insights and actionable recommendations.
Understanding the business context of your design work and tieing it back to measurable outcomes.
Conducting regular workshops with designers and stakeholders to gather insights, validate journey maps, and identify areas for improvement.
Planning and facilitating team activities to identify appropriate design problems and opportunities within a project brief.
Judging solution quality and context appropriateness, making recommendations for improvement.
Providing directional input to the team.
Playing a role in evolving the design system by facilitating discussions about proposed updates and tradeoffs, participating in feedback opportunities.
Facilitating divergent and convergent group work.
Establishing best practices in shared tools and software for design.
Guiding exploration, refinement, and documentation to be comprehensive and thorough.
What we’re looking for:
You’ll need to have:
Six or more years of relevant experience required, demonstrated through one or a combination of work and/or military experience, or specialized training.
Experience mapping digital journeys and/or shopping flow experience with a portfolio that includes examples.
Experience facilitating regular workshops with designers and stakeholders
Experience in Figma and using UI libraries/structures.
Even better if you have one or more of the following:
The ability to champion Design Thinking philosophy throughout the business.
The ability to capture and visualize complex journey nuances, digging into data to iterate and build on existing designs.
Be accustomed to working and contributing to a design system.
Hands-on expertise in use case development, story boarding, mock-ups, and highly interactive prototypes using Figma.
Strong thought partnering skills, listening carefully to stakeholders while still advocating for the user's needs.
Proficiency in using digital tools and platforms, specifically designed for journey mapping and design.
Experience using UX design best practices to design solutions, and a deep understanding of mobile-first and responsive design.
A solid grasp of user-centered design (UCD), planning and conducting user research, user testing, A/B testing, rapid prototyping, heuristic analysis, usability and accessibility concerns.
The ability to iterate and articulate designs and solutions efficiently and intelligently.
The ability to work effectively in a team setting, including synthesizing abstract ideas into concrete design implications.
The ability to collaborate and communicate closely with teams and other stakeholders via a distributed model, to regularly deliver design solutions for approval.
Where you’ll be working
In this hybrid role, you'll have a defined work location that includes work from home and a minimum eight assigned office days per month that will be set by your manager.

If you are hired into a California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Maryland, Nevada, New York, Rhode Island, Washington or Washington, D.C. work location, the compensation range for this position is between $117,000.00 and $236,000.00 annually based on a full-time schedule. The salary will vary depending on your location and confirmed job-related skills and experience. This is an incentive based position with the potential to earn more. For part time roles, your compensation will be adjusted to reflect your hours.
