What you’ll be doing…
As part of our growth plans, we're seeking for a Field Telecom Engineer that has a real passion for delivering excellence and ensuring customer service is at the heart of everything we do.
The Field Technician is responsible for carrying out 1st line installation, repair and maintenance activities on customer premises. You will be part of the Operations team delivering the local onsite support needed to ensure our customers receive a world class service.
You will be responsible for configuring, installing & maintaining all types of Telecom Equipment such as phone lines, broadband, hosted cloud telephony, IP Networks, Wi-Fi and associated electronic equipment and wiring per specifications and operational procedures, both in technical facilities as well as on customer property.
Configuring and installing telecoms and networking infrastructure (routers, switches, Phones Wi-Fi Access points)
Conduct pre-installation meetings and gather data collection ready for pre-build of solutions
Assist with the provisioning of new customers and services
On-site installation of telecoms equipment
Periodic maintenance on company transmissions and customer support equipment.
Utilizing local and remote test systems to isolate and resolve customer circuit outages
Colo support on our locations
Travel will be required
24x7 On Call – On Call duty 24x7 in rotary schedule to cover emergency repairs, tickets and maintenance
What we’re looking for...
You’ll need to have:
MBO/HBO degree or one or more years of work experience.
Valid driver's license.
Ability to perform physical requirements of the job, with or without a reasonable accommodation.
Positive ‘can-do’ attitude with passion to deliver.
Willingness to travel (majority in country)
Fluent in English and Dutch (written and verbal)
Willingness to work on call rotation, shifts and occasional weekends.
Even better if you have one or more of the following:
Two or more years of experience in telecom/wireless industry with recent technology, working knowledge of electronics, electricity and transmission systems turn-up and test procedures, or related discipline, gained through technical training.
Equipment knowledge including, but not limited to, CPE equipment manufactured by Cisco , Fujitsu, ect..
Experience of Customer Premise Equipment installation and troubleshooting.
Experience with Ethernet test and turn up.
