What you’ll be doing...

As a Software Developer in a Platform Engineering team, you will be building platform features for Verizon routers. These are enriched with the complete SDLC process, while working with various stakeholders like business PoCs, Device Technology engineers, Maintenance Engineer quality engineers and Solution Architects.

  • Working with a team of engineers, partners like QA, SME and Architect for router platform deliverables.

  • Investigating customer problems referred by the technical support team.

  • Handling technical communications with Partners to understand client's systems or APIs.

  • Implementing router platform requirements.

  • Setting up, maintain, and operate test automation frameworks.

  • Developing features that adheres to Prpl foundation standards

  • Improving the overall delivery excellence by working through project dynamics.

What we’re looking for...

You enjoy working on software development for building router platform components. You are a great teammate and have a go-getter kind of attitude with good interpersonal skills. You stay focused and enjoy the challenge that comes with this role and are able to manage work effectively in a dynamic, complex and deadline-oriented environment.

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree with one or more years of work experience.

  • Excellent programming skills in C including multi-thread programming.

  • Good knowledge of C++ & OOPs concepts.

  • Expertise in application development for Embedded Linux environment

  • Good knowledge of networking basics and router configuration

  • Experience in Linux build tools (e.g. GCC, Make, CMake, Shell Scripts, etc.)

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • Strong communication and critical thinking skills.

  • Experience working in Agile/SAFe teams.

  • Any experience in router platform development (PrplOS, Openwrt, Containers, etc.)

  • Any experience in WiFi and Ethernet driver integration

  • Collaboration skills to manage the peers, partners and other stakeholders.
