What you’ll be doing...

The work you'll be doing is to support mission and business-critical applications within Verizon. You will be enhancing the customer experience and building a world class solutions. Under the mentorship of a technical lead who would be supporting you on delivery, you will also work as a team member on various projects and mentor junior resources. You will help develop, implement and maintain this important application. As a developer, you are responsible for the full software development life cycle, from conception to deployment.

  • Working with development teams, SMEs, Architects, and Product Owners to build software solutions/web applications.

  • Building the front-end and back-end modules of applications through an appealing user experience.

  • Developing and managing well-functioning databases and applications.

  • Working effectively in collaboration with other teams/partners in scaled Agile Framework and other support functions when required with a continuous focus on improving applications.

  • Ensuring quality delivery of your code to dev, SIT, UAT, and production environments with complete ownership.

  • Working towards improving code standardization.

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or one or more years of work experience.

  • Good problem solving skills

  • Experience in JAVA/J2EE, Spring boot, Redis

  • Experience in Microservices, REST API, OpenFeign, ELK Stack.

  • Experience in UI Technologies (e.g., Angular, TypeScript, React).

  • Experience in Databases technologies (e.g., Oracle).

  • Experience in DevOps technologies (e.g., Gitlab, Jenkins, Sonar).

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • A Master's degree.

  • Experience in code coverage tools (e.g., Sonar).

  • Experience in security tools (e.g., Fortify, Blackduck).

  • Experience in DevOps / CICD model.

  • Experience in Agile methodologies and usage of Scrum Tools (e.g., JIRA, Jenkins, GitLab).

  • Experience with a high-performance, high-availability environment.

  • Strong analytical, debugging skills.

  • Good communication and presentation skills.

  • Relevant certifications.

  • Experience with UI framework.

  • Experience with OWASP rules and mitigate security vulnerabilities using security tools like Fortify, Sonarcube, Blackduck etc.

  • Experience with Unit testing framework like JUnit, Mokito.

  • Experience monitoring tools like NewRelic.

  • Ability to understand Agile and DevOps tools and technologies.

  • Strong problem solving and debugging skills.
