What you’ll be doing...

This position interfaces and interacts frequently with Verizon’s overlay and specialized services sales and support teams. In addition, individuals in this position will be required to provide presentations and briefings to senior level executives, participate in technical customer meetings, support bid and proposal efforts, and represent the technical solution along with pertinent processes both internally and externally. Partner with the sales and solution team in developing, documenting and presenting an integrated solution for complex opportunities based upon the client requirements and Verizon products/services and those of all required third party vendors/partners necessary to provide an end-to-end solution. Collaborate with all internal parties to validate all of the solution components including optimizing costs to meet business case needs specified by client executive/enterprise architect. Work with the transition team to develop the transition plan and design and document the integrated solution to help shape the deal economics. Participate in the transitioning of customer accounts from their existing technology services environment to a transformed steady state environment. Position location is flexible.
Responsibilities will include:

  • Partnering with sales and solution teams to assess an opportunity and develop a win strategy and optimized solution

  • Validating the end-to-end solutions which minimize operational and financial risks

  • Leading developing end-to-end Service Delivery Architecture

  • Contributing operational knowledge to contract negotiations

  • Interfacing to Verizon Enterprise core support organizations

  • Participating in Customer facing meetings and presentations

  • Participating in due diligence/discovery activities

  • Collaborating with internal and external groups to validate that all solutions are supportable

  • Identifying opportunities to standardize services and reduce costs

  • Validating and determining third party supplier content to close gaps in delivery of services

  • Collaborating with the transition team on transition activities

What we’re looking for...

Candidates for this opening will be positioned to support emerging technologies, end-to-end service delivery and solution guidance for Verizon’s support teams providing solutions to the United States Local, State and Federal Government. This role will be an unclassified support role. The candidate that fills this position will work in an exciting and fast-paced environment supporting proposal activities for the United States of America Department of Defense and Civilian Agencies, as well as, State and Local Government opportunities. This role supports Verizon engagements that provide services to men and women within our Armed Forces and how Verizon provides critical support to our Service members.

You’re experienced in all phases of the software development cycle for commercial products. You’re curious about new technologies and the possibilities they create. Flexible and responsive, you thrive in a dynamic environment that constantly challenges your superior analytical and technology marketing skills.

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.

  • Eight or more years of relevant experience required, demonstrated through one or a combination of work and/or military experience, or specialized training.

  • Experience outsourcing solution development and delivery (global experience preferred)

  • Direct service management architecture design, service delivery or operations experience

  • Costing/Pricing and business case development experience

  • Working knowledge of SDWAN/WAN, LAN/WLAN Security, voice, IT, wireless and IP technologies.

  • Customer contract negotiations experience.

  • Knowledge of Verizon’s products and services, identification of those needed from third party suppliers and/or partners.

  • Ability to serve as an executive interface for internal and client-facing interactions.

  • Ability to obtain Public Trust clearance.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • MBA

  • ITIL V3 Foundations.

  • Previous management experience.

  • CISSP (Certified Information Security Systems Professional) certification.

  • Cisco CCIE e.g. R&S, Security, Voice certification.

  • MCITP - Microsoft Certified IT Professional (Enterprise).

  • PMI Project Management Professional (PMP).

  • excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.

  • A positive attitude and good team development skills.
