What you’ll be doing...
The Corporate Systems Group (CSG) is responsible for architecting the systems solutions for Verizon Finance, Accounting, Accounts Payable, Supply Chain, HR and Payroll. As a Distinguished Engineer, this individual will partner with business stakeholders, development managers to develop and execute the product road map for CSG Products. This individual will lead the design and delivery of large-scale, complex programs in the areas of ERP Finance, Accounting, Accounts Payable, Supply Chain, HR and Payroll.
Developing the architecture roadmap which supports the business strategies such as 1ERP, and other strategic transformation programs to drive cutting-edge experiences, revenue growth, and cost optimization.
Using a flexible and collaborative work approach to solve complex problems and to develop customer specific solutions - taking into account multiple internal and external stakeholder groups and different level of stakeholder groups (e.g. Top-Management) with various/changing stakeholder demands/requirements and intersections (e.g. IT, Finance, AP, SC, Top-management level etc.)
Leading architectural discussions, evaluating the out-of-box abilities in ERP solutions
Conducting fit-to-standard analysis for end-to-end solution design and performing configuration changes to close the gap.
Engaging with product agile teams to review solutions and garner signoff or approvals.
Leading innovation and “Build vs Buy” to deliver best in class solutions.
Developing functional strategic roadmap to drive customer experience and improve operational financial cost controls.
Working with vendors to build or innovate abilities into their product roadmap through participation in SAP conferences, production innovation and design thinking workshops or analyzing latest trends to deliver value added functionality.
Delivering enterprise level impact through influencing organization(s) to deliver solutions using the latest trends or technologies.
Becoming a thought leader to drive intelligent enterprise, customer,employee experience and improve operational financial cost controls. Influence people, organization(s) and industry to deliver new and innovative solutions using the latest trends or technologies.
Establishing solid working relationships based on mutual trust with internal and external stakeholders.
Communicating program status and setting clear direction concerning process, standards, and roles/responsibilities for all involved project team
You'll need to have:
Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
10 or more years of relevant work experience.
Experience in complex enterprise functions architecture. Strong experience in successfully handling big and complex tech transformation projects.
Experience in leading team on complex implementation of large-scale application
Experience in EA tools/frameworks
Domain knowledge in HR/Finance/Supply Chain/Billing
Even better if you have one or more of the following:
Experience in progressive transformation, technology enablement, innovation
Experience in Operation Strategies, building efficient operations, enabling operational efficiency with tools.
Strong passion for technology and its use to build platforms.
Knowledge of enterprise service platforms and their impact in overall customer experience.
Experience in stakeholder and partner management along with cross-functional collaboration.
Excellent analytical, written and oral communication skills, and be able to explain complex concepts both concisely and simple
