What you’ll be doing…
We are looking for a Director – Software Development for the GTS - Verizon Business Group in India. The role requires expertise in the digital and agent experience in the Service domain with focus on infusing AI across the Service Journey. Should have a good understanding of CCAI platform and a willingness to learn about the domain and continuously build deeper expertise. In this role, the leader will be responsible for building and leading a highly motivated and talented team, coaching and mentoring them to deliver high quality products and services as well as partner with cross CIO teams to establish goals, influence and effectively communicate the vision of the VBG leadership team. The individual will focus on strategy and designing solutions per the AI standards that creates an intuitive experience across all service channels within Verizon
.
You will be responsible for:
Responsible and accountable for the Architecture, Development and Maintenance of the Experience Platforms (SOEs) that handles the Service requests for VBG.
Delivering Business Value through AI solutions in VBG Service .
Proposing solutions and strategies to tackle business challenges.
Coaching, training and motivating the team to achieve subject matter expertise. Hire and train high performing digital innovation experts.
Reviewing the critical projects and plans on a frequent basis with the executive leadership team
Partnering with Global GTS Verizon Team and Strategic partners to drive and deliver committed business outcomes
Partnering with peers in the industry and bench mark architecture, designs and coding standards to drive industry best practices and partner closely with AI&D teams in defining the service management use cases for VBG Customers.
Market and Industry Knowledge: Analyze technology, platform and trends to discover opportunities for reimagining our Service Experience.
Decision Making Authority: Act with relative independence in area of responsibility; responsible for managing budget and/or staff within subfunction(s). Line of sight: 3-5 yrs

What we’re looking for...
You’ll need to have:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent technical qualification
Ten or more years of relevant experience required, demonstrated through one or a combination of work and/or specialized training.
Expertise and proficiency in Spring Boot, React , Python and to engineer data and draw insights from large data sets using AI/ML techniques.
Two or more years of experience with developing and deploying AI models to production.
Experience in technology leadership, including solid understanding of technology selection, architecture, and full stack implementation.
Ability to meet timelines, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and to work in a fast-paced, dynamic, customer and team-oriented work environment.
Ability to identify opportunities, facilitate sessions to ideate and come up with joint cross functional solutions to improve digital experiences and streamline omni-channel processes
Even better if you have one or more of the following:
Five or more years of experience in the telecom network domain.
Experience in direct people management experience, including leadership of diverse global teams.
Industry recognitions, patents & papers , participation in standards/ professional bodies
Leadership position in a Global Team
