What you’ll be doing…
Marketing communications plays a critical role in the success of driving incremental revenue and reducing customer churn for Verizon. These Mobile and Home campaigns require significant infrastructure to execute across multiple tactics and channels at scale.
As a Data Scientist on our Database Marketing team within the Marketing Personalization function, you will build and maintain data structures to support and provide data for the Adobe Campaign, Adobe Experience Platform, and Adobe Journey Orchestrator marketing tools. You will champion the build, testing and migration to the centralized, omni-channel, near real-time Consumer Data Platform profile in the cloud. Work with interdisciplinary teams to provide any data needed in a timely and seamless manner to support campaign development and lead generation. Be able to leverage Teradata SQL, BigQuery SQL, Adobe, BTEQ, and GCLOUD to test, implement, and validate existing and new data sources. Improve personalization, targeting and audiencing by leveraging models, lead collection applications, new tactics, data analysis, and testing. You will work with IT, network, legal, security, marketing communications and sales channel stakeholders across Verizon.
Responsibilities include:
Driving revenue and sales for Personalized Marketing.
Developing best-in-class marketing communication use cases to leverage the Consumer Data Platform for customer acquisition, upsell and retention.
Translating marketing campaign data requirements to IT and support teams.
Creation, maintenance and continual improvement of new and existing meta data supporting Adobe Workflow implementation.
Working with the Network team to ensure the Fixed Wireless Access eligibility changes are seamlessly incorporated into marketing campaigns as the FWA Marketing Eligibility SME.
Conducting Quality Assurance on data structures and content, both streaming and batch, that define customer profiles, eligibility, and services.
Leveraging data in all formats to define and track results.
Monitoring compliance feed structures and evolving for the future.
Maintaining business rules for secure third party network connectivity definitions and implementations.
Designing and maintaining automated ETL scripts to support data enablement of database marketing tool metadata structures.
What we’re looking for...
You’ll need to have:
Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.
Six or more years of relevant experience required, demonstrated through one or a combination of work and/or military experience, or specialized training.
Experience managing complex projects and operating under tight timeframes.
Experience documenting and communicating new and existing processes.
Experience in Data Enablement and Infrastructure support for use by Campaign tools.
Experience with Linux/UNIX, SQL, Teradata, Shell Scripting and Data Manipulation.
Experience conducting Quality Assurance on data structures and content.
Even better if you have:
Experience with project management and related tools (e.g. JIRA, SmartSheets).
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Sales or Computer Science.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Expertise in customer communications architecture and processes.
Digital Marketing experience.
Experience with Campaign development tools such as Adobe Campaign, Adobe Journey Orchestrator and other aspects of Adobe Marketing Cloud.
Experience with commercial marketing software and/or tools.
Knowledge of agile development process.
Experience with SQOOP, Tableau, Crontab, Oracle, AEP, AJO and/or GCP.
Experience with Teradata Utilities Multiload, FastExport, FastLoad.
Experience with Google BigQuery.
