What you’ll be doing...

Our digital media team is seeking a Digital Media Privacy Lead to oversee compliance and governance of our digital marketing efforts with national and international privacy regulations. Collaborating with Verizon’s privacy and legal offices, you will review new and existing initiatives to ensure we are continuously upholding data privacy and protection. The work you do will ensure that our digital marketing is the best it can be while using our data responsibly.

Responsibilities include:

  • Managing the relationship with external partners to implement privacy-safe solutions and capabilities.

  • Working with our internal privacy and legal teams to onboard new partners, review new uses of 1st and 3rd party data, and troubleshoot ongoing concerns.

  • Partnering with our digital media team to understand their priorities to activate campaigns and improve our personalization efforts.

  • Stay on top of global privacy regulations (e.g. GDPR, CCPA, etc.) and ensure digital marketing activities comply with applicable laws and industry standards.

  • Conduct privacy impact assessments for new marketing initiatives, platforms, and technologies to identify and mitigate privacy risks.

  • Develop and deliver privacy training for the digital media teams to promote a culture of privacy awareness and compliance.

  • Monitor and audience processes to regularly assess compliance with privacy policies and identify areas of improvement.

What we’re looking for...

Digital marketing and how it can drive behavior fascinates you. You enjoy working with all types of people and understand that diverse perspectives often yield the best ideas. Being part of the team that grows our business excites you. You have a sense of urgency that is second to none when it comes to getting work done and meeting deadlines. You enjoy working across groups and meeting customer needs. You are excited about opportunities where you can see an immediate impact from the work you do.

You'll need to have:

  • Six or more years of relevant experience required, demonstrated through one or a combination of work and/or military experience, or specialized training.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing privacy procedures in digital marketing.
  • Strong understanding of global and national privacy regulations and related frameworks.

  • Familiarity with digital advertising technologies and platforms.

  • Experience leading cross-functional teams at all levels to integrate privacy considerations into marketing strategies and initiatives.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:
