What you'll be doing…
You will work closely with functional HR teams and GTS to manage system enhancements for internal customers, matching the best solutions to their business needs. You’ll assist with the process from needs assessment, product design and development, through product testing and implementation. You will work on HR technology projects to translate business requirements into solutions with clear technical specifications and test products/system enhancements, troubleshoot production issues, and retest fixes.
Work on projects within the Severance functional area with cross functional partnership as required.
Manage projects from start to finish.
Assess business needs and system capabilities and offer solutions on technical requirements.
Ensure timelines are met, and provide updates to management accordingly.
Configure and support the launch of Verizon’s new custom Severance application.
Maintain the PeopleSoft Severance application through transition to the custom application.
Provide system support to the Severance team through all severance activity.
Support Workday Integrations
Troubleshoot and resolve system issues
Manage migrations of projects to production
What we're looking for…
You are inquisitive, and willing to dig into and resolve issues with minimal direction. You view a problem as a puzzle you’d like to solve. You ask good questions to understand what the business needs and how to respond with the best technology solutions. You are highly analytical, process and detail-oriented. You’re no stranger to tight timelines and competing priorities and you are able to manage both.
You'll need to have:
Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.
Four or more years of relevant work experience.
Experience in system design and/or configuration.
Experience writing and executing test scripts and scenarios.
Experience in HRIS or IT.
Even better if you have one or more of the following:
Experience with agile methodology.
Experience with ticket tracking systems (preferably JIRA)
