The Data & Analytics (D&A) team is part of the Verizon Global Services (VGS) Data and Analytics Team. As part of the team, you will be helping to create and deliver a comprehensive measurement and reporting approach for all of Verizon Groups. In this role, you will interact with cross functional teams working throughout Verizon bringing new experiences to life for our Customers..
What you’ll be doing...
You will help in measurement, reporting for cross-functional teams as they plan, build and launch world-class experiences. You will help translate raw data into actionable insights and better experiences for our customers. Your deep knowledge of measurement solutions will help to determine the best approaches for implementations that best meet business needs

  • Development and implementation of advanced reports and dashboard solutions to support business objectives.
  • Analyze data and clearly communicate findings to stakeholders.
  • Understand the KPIs and metrics that help answer business questions.
  • Work with a team of data analysts working on Digital, Assisted and Cross Channel Analytics
  • Identify target audience and level of aggregation and detail needed in the executive reporting.
  • Create wireframes and mockup of reporting.
  • Define, validate, and test tags needed for data capture and reporting.
  • Work with IT on automation (tagging) and derive new and better ways to capture data.
  • Document all validated standards and processes to ensure accuracy across the enterprise.
  • Collaborate in cross-functional teams to source new data, develop schema requirements, and maintain metadata.

What we’re looking for...
You are a demonstrated professional who can effectively own and prioritize multiple work streams as well as to adapt during sometimes pressured situations. You display initiative and resourcefulness in achieving goals, but are also comfortable brainstorming and sharing ideas in a team environment. You have excellent communication skills with the ability to speak effectively to both internal and external stakeholders. You are able to partner across multiple business and technology teams. You have strong e-commerce experience in quantitative customer research / root cause analytics with attention to detail, adaptable to change and tight deadlines, and are focused on quality.
You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree and four or more years of work experience.
  • Experience with Adobe Analytics or related platforms (e.g., Google Analytics), or knowledge of tagging implementation and experience in the debugging process.
  • Ability to write SQL queries and scripts using relational databases like Teradata, Oracle, SQL Server and pulling data from Hadoop/HIVE SQL/EDW/ GCP data warehouses.
  • Experience of building dashboards using BI Tools like Qlik, Tableau, Looker, ThoughtSpot etc.
  • Working knowledge of One Jira and collaboration tools

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • Master’s degree or PhD in Math, Statistics, Economics, Engineering, Computer Science, Business Analytics, Data Science, or a related field.
  • Experience developing general reporting, KPIs, metrics, and attributes.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • The ability to develop and use storytelling to communicate information.
  • Strong problem solving, analytical, and research capabilities.
  • Experience managing time-bound project deliverables for multiple stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of SQL/ ETL process and reporting tools.
