What you will be doing....

Move beyond compiling data and help tell the story behind the numbers. The Financial Planning & Analytics positions offer opportunities to drive better business partnering and insights, while developing your FP&A skill set and leadership as we continue to grow as a world class organization. You are a valuable business partner, finding new and better ways of working by leveraging digital capabilities. You’ll become involved in, but not limited to, planning, reporting, analyses, and initiatives that will impact important decisions around the growth and development of Verizon business.

• Develop a team of professionals and guide overall strategic & tactical direction.

• Ensure timely and accurate delivery of financial planning, reporting & analyses for the business.

• Oversee the creation and communication of executive reviews, financial/operational storytelling, and insights.

• Drive continuous improvement and scope expansion efforts through project identification & prioritization, resource alignment & utilization, digital and automation tool & system integration strategy.

• Be a trusted advisor by providing valuable decision support and guidance to Business Partners.

• Perform and present operational reviews to FPAS executive leadership on the team’s strategy, development, initiatives, accomplishments, risks, and areas of opportunity.

• Actively participate in the cultural and professional development of FPAS as a world class organization through Mentor/Mentee relationships and various activities offered.

• Document the processes to ensure accuracy across the enterprise and have change control in place.

• Collaborate with Corporate Support Group (CSG) for deployment of Qlik Applications in production environments and resolve any production issues with existing Qlik applications

• C-Suite Executive reporting will be a key activity which needs to be delivered with 100% quality

What we’re looking for…

You are a strong collaborator who can effectively own and prioritize multiple work streams as well as to adapt during sometimes pressured situations. You display initiative and resourcefulness in achieving goals, but are also comfortable in brainstorming and sharing ideas in a team environment. You will have excellent communication skills with the ability to speak effectively to both internal and external stakeholders. You are able to partner across multiple business and finance teams. You should have a strong Finance report automations and Business Intelligence/Analytics experience in FP&A (Financial Planning & Analytics) teams but not limited to this function. You need to have attention to details, adaptable to change and tight deadlines, and strongly focused on quality of deliverables. Ability to mine, extract, transform, load large data sets of financial data and create zero touch financial reports.

• Bachelor’s degree and four or more years of work experience.

• For or more years of relevant work experience in financial reports automations.

• Knowledge of report automation tools and technologies.

• Experience with Qlik Sense and QVD generations from different data sources.

• Experience in Essbase, SQL and SQL performance tuning.

• Knowledge of Google Suite and database management systems.

• Experience with dashboard creation with insightful visualization

• Knowledge of OneJira or any ticketing tool.

• Knowledge of end-to-end ETL process (Knime Analytics Platform, Alteryx etc..)

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

• Vizlib Library experience in Qlik Sense will be an added advantage

• Experience with any third-party reporting tools (e.g. Looker, Tableau).

• Exposure to GCP Big Query, Teradata database.

• Basic knowledge programming languages (e.g., VBA/Python/Google App Scripting).

• Ability to derive insights from data and recommend action.
