In this role, you'll have a defined work location that includes work from home and assigned office days (in-office days are Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday)

What you'll be doing...

As the Sales Operations Client Partner, you will oversee and streamline the operational aspects of retail sales within the national retail distribution organization. Your primary focus will be on optimizing sales processes, increasing product placement at point of sale, enhancing customer experience, and maximizing efficiency across all national retail channels with an initial focus on Walmart. Working closely with both internal cross-functional teams and external partners, you will develop and implement strategies to drive sales growth, improve performance, and ensure operational excellence at every stage of the sales cycle. You will be developing relationships with retail partners, store operators and asset protection leadership at retailers to build strategy that will result in improvements in program execution.

Responsibilities:

Operations Strategy and Planning:

  • Develop and execute operations strategies in alignment with overall business objectives and targets.

  • Develop relationships with retailer district, regional and HQ level leadership including Asset Protection contacts and logistics contacts.

  • Analyze market and retailer trends, customer preferences, and competitive landscape to identify opportunities for growth. Employee will be accessing retailer data bases, vendor data bases and utilization of internal data warehouse files.

  • Collaborate with senior management, retail partners and staffing partners to set sales goals, quotas, and performance metrics.

Sales Operations Management:

  • Design and implement procedures to streamline operations and enhance efficiency.

  • Monitor retailer activities, performance metrics, and KPIs to track progress and identify areas for improvement.

Communication and program development:

  • Communicate sales operations initiatives to stakeholders by reviewing existing operating environment challenges and provide forward looking strategies.

  • Set clear expectations, objectives, and performance targets for Staffing partners

  • Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement with retailer store operators.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Collaborate closely with marketing, merchandising, finance, and other departments to align efforts with overall business strategies.

  • Coordinate with inventory management and supply chain teams to ensure adequate stock levels and timely product availability.

  • Act as a liaison between sales teams and other departments to address issues, share insights, and drive cross-functional initiatives.

Performance Analysis and Reporting:

  • Analyze sales data, performance metrics, and market trends to evaluate sales effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.

  • Prepare regular reports, dashboards, and presentations to communicate sales performance, trends, and actionable insights to senior management.

  • Utilize data-driven insights to develop recommendations for optimizing sales processes, improving customer satisfaction, and driving revenue growth.

What we're looking for...

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field or four or more years of work experience.

  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.

  • Experience in retail sales operations, sales management and/or account management.

  • Willingness to travel approximately up to 25% or less.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • MBA or Master's Degree or equivalent field/study.

  • Proven experience in retail sales operations, sales management, or related field, with a minimum of 5 years in a similar role.

  • Strong understanding of retail industry dynamics, sales processes, and customer engagement strategies.

  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute sales strategies to drive revenue growth and achieve targets.

  • Analytical mindset with proficiency in analyzing sales data, performance metrics, and market trends to drive decision-making.

  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.

  • Strategic thinker with the ability to translate business objectives into actionable plans and initiatives.

  • Proven track record of successfully managing complex sales operations and driving results in a fast-paced retail environment.

Where you’ll be working

In this hybrid role, you'll have a defined work location that includes work from home and a minimum eight assigned office days per month that will be set by your manager.

If you are hired into a California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Maryland, Nevada, New York, Rhode Island, Washington or Washington, D.C. work location, the compensation range for this position is between $109,000.00 and $221,000.00 annually based on a full-time schedule. The salary will vary depending on your location and confirmed job-related skills and experience. This is an incentive based position with the potential to earn more. For part time roles, your compensation will be adjusted to reflect your hours.
